which to buy
Do many of you have the 16 gig iPad or do most of you have 32? I'm getting ready to buy. I'll not have music on it...My main reason for buying is larger screen (bad eyes) and ability to use split screen (and be able to read it)..

Apple has refurbished iPad's => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipad with same warranty and packaging as new.
My iPad has 7.4 GB of resources downloaded for offline use in Logos mobile apps (subset of my Logos library).

April, if you can afford it, go for the 32GB model. I suspect there are very few people who are sorry they have too much storage space, and quite a few who wish they had more.

I think in the next gen 64GB will probably be considered the norm. The tendency to minimize system requirements never works long term. This practically guarantees upgrades if you become very reliant on it.

Well, I did wind up buying the 64GB mainly because it's impossible to find a 32GB WIFI only. I got one "out of the box" which already had a screen protector on it. I love it. And I'm glad I got the bigger one because the sound on it is awesome...better than on my iphone. For someone who has struggled to read on the iphone, this larger screen is incredible. I can finally read anything in comfort.
