Possible bug: Can't scroll a Reading List
Can someone do me the favour of opening MJ's Reading List Early Church Fathers Index in Logos and see if you can scroll normally through it (with the wheel)?
When I come to the rather long list of Ambrose's letters I get stuck there and can't get 'out' again, neither upwards nor downwards. I have to use the 'handle' on the scroll bar to get away from Ambrose. The same thing seems to happen in other long lists, though I haven't made any extensive testing.

Had no problem with this using L4M 4.5b Beta 5

Scrolling through reading list, noticed "Ambrose of Milan (Aurelius Ambrosius) circa 337-397" has a number of indented entries. Wonder about dragging Reading Lists tab to a panel for wider display of this reading list ?
Note: after changing list location using scroll bar, wheel scrolling became quite challenging in Logos 4.5b Beta 5 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). Took many downward motions on a Magic Pad to move past "Ambrose" while 50 attempts using a wheel mouse was unable to scroll down (list entries wiggled down / up / down / up ... about a dozen lines). Yet could still use scroll bar to drag indicator. Closing Reading List, then opening allowed wheel to scroll down to Ambrose, then wheel was useless (needed to use scroll bar).

That's how I had it when I noticed it.
Thanks for the confirmation. Unfortunately it's too late to edit the heading, but hopefully they see it anyway.

I'm able to scroll in it. However, I had to wait for the entire Reading List to finish populating which took a good 3-5 minutes. When you are trying to scroll is the wheel spinning at the top indicating that the list is still populating?

Waited for the list to completely populate. Noted that when scrolling—with the wheel—at a moderate speed, had difficulty exiting the Ambrose list. When I neared the bottom of that list, the display remained at the same position with a little jitter up and down. It took a quick spin of the wheel to move beyond that point.

No, it finished well before.
Thanks for looking into this.

Can you post your logs? I'd like to compare them with Jack's

Unlike Jack, I can't get past no matter how fast I try to scroll.

Using Logos 4.5b Beta 5, can replicate unable being to scroll down, which feels a bit like basketball dribbling (watching the text bounce down and up).
Closed Logos 4 Mac, then compressed log files:

The beginning of the log seems to not display the version of Logos you are using. I don't know if it is being truncated, or if the error information is part of your problem and is replacing what information would normally be there. If it looks the same I'll submit to Dev. To be clear, the scrolling seems to work find up until you get to the Ambrose section?
Thank you!

It does for me. I can get past Ambrose with a quick flick of the scroll ball, but the same thing will happen when I get to the next long list. I do not remember which list that was, however.

Can you post fresh logs? Close Logos 4 as soon as you recognize that you won't be able to scroll any more, and post them. As I said in my last post, either there is a weird error at the very beginning where the version of the OS and Logos 4 should be or it was truncated. I'd like to know which.

This should be fixed in the next beta release for beta users and for stable users when 4.5b ships to the stable channel.

I try to stay off the internet for most of Easter, so I'm still trying to catch up on the forum. I take it this is no longer necessary.

While list is downloading from internet using Logos 4.5b Beta 6 on Mac OS X 10.6.8, scrolling is quite difficult (keeps wanting to jump back to top).
Once download is complete (buttons "Mark all read" and "Edit" appear), then scrolling issue has been fixed.

Unfortunately not. I never checked in 4.5b, but it's still there in 4.5c, even after the download is complete. It's a little bit better, though. I can now 'get out' some of the time, more often upwards than downwards.

Hi fgh,
I can't reproduce your experience in 4.5c SR-2; can you update to that version and try again? Do you have the ReadingList panel open up in it's default location (far left and narrow)?
Thank you.

That would not be practical with this list. some sub-items are indented so far as to be useless at this width. However, I had no problem scrolling the list either in the default position or at full screen—both down and back up.

No real difference in SR 2. Sometimes it works. Most of the time it doesn't.
