Copy from Logos to Keynote

Hey All,

I'm heading out of country and will be leaving my MacBook home.  I'll only have the iPad with logos and Keynote.  I need to make sermons/presentations on the fly.  I thought I could copy/paste pictures between the two, but Logos doesn't seem to use the standard clipboard.

Maybe I'm missing something...

I think you are. I just copied text from a resource (commentary) and pasted it right into the "Notes" app. It worked perfectly. If you are still having problems, can you give a step by step of what you are doing?

Oops, I forgot an important part.

I tried text and you are right.  My problem was copying a picture.

Have you found a way for that?

    Thanks

I was able to successfully copy a photo (hold down on the image until it turns blue) and paste it into pages. I don't have keynote, sorry. What resource were you using? If for some reason you can't do this, you could try taking screen shots & cropping them.

Hmmm.  I get the 'blue' on the object.  I get Copy.  But it won't paste into anything.  I tried keynote, quick office, email,  no luck.

    Dont have pages tho.

    Hmmm....

    Bad move.

The version of Keynote on the iPad has serious limitations - not only when using pictures not in your camera roll but with both music and video.

It is fine for simple presentations but the iPad is not a replacement computer.

At present I don't think that your aspirations can be effectively met.

    Alabama24,

I was able to use the screen capture idea and then crop the picture in Keynote.  All in all it works.  Sometimes you have to rough it - hahahahha.

Power isn't always available where I'm headed.  I picked up a little recharge battery.  I'll have 20 hours of power for the iPad.  Can't quite get that on the macbook.

All in all, I really happy with the logos iPad app.  I won't have the search off-line, but I'll have a portable pastor's library.

    Thanks,

    Steve
