Bible word study on iPad2
Tried to do a Bible Word Study from the Interlinear on my iPad but it doesn't seem to work. It takes me to the Word Study screen, but there are no results. I can look up the word manually in individual volumes so I know the word exists. Why won't Logs find it when I try to do the study?

Richard - first, welcome to the forums!
Are you online? If so, which interlinear are you using?

Thank you for the welcome.
I'm using the NA 26th edition because I can't find my 27th edition on my iPad.

Hi Richard.
The NA27 should be available, I have just accessed mine, although it wasn't available until recently.
I have just tried doing a BWS from there and it works fine.
Can you give an example of a verse / word you are trying to use?

I was looking up metoikesia from Matt. 1:11

Think I may have solved part of the problem. Tried again and then changed metoikesias in Matt. 1:11 to metoikesia in the BWS section and it found a few things. Anything else I should do?

If you are not doing it this way it is easier to double tap the word, and then tap look up and then tap bible word study. Then tap the blue ring. It sounded like you were using the tool at the bottom.

Hi Richard
Yes, using the lemme form of the word is key here.
From your description I am unsure of how you are invoking BWS.
the easiest way is to press and hold the word and then select "Look up" from the popup menu.
This displays some basic information including both the text and the lemme. You can then elects elect BWS from there.
Hope this gives you what you need.

Richard, Here are some screen shots to illustrate Graham's comments:

I was able to do this with the Lexham RI as shown, and also with the NA27. I do not have the NA26 to try that.

Thank I you all for the help. I can't get a screenshot but mine doesn't look quite like yours. I only get
"text" and "morph"
I don't get the "lemme" " gloss" or "strongs" information.

My guess is that the resource doesn't have that info imbedded. Do you have a base package? Do you own the NA27?

Screen shots are relatively easy, but a little bit of a hassle:
- Push both buttons and hold for a couple of seconds.
- You will hear a shutter sound and the screen will flash white.
- Open up the Apple app "photos"
- Scroll to the very bottom… your screen shot will be there.
- Email the screen shot to yourself
- Download the screen shot from the email and save to the desktop
- In the forum formatting pallet, click the paperclip icon and navigate to your photo

I don't actually have the base package - which is probably why this isn't working. I have an older version of the Scholars Library. On my pastor's salary I can't afford to spend more for the "basic package" than I did for the original program. So even though I upgraded to Logos 4 (because they told me they would soon not be supporting Librinix 3) I just have the operating system.
I do own NA27 but I have never been able to find it on the iPad.

Is it possible that your license is associated with another username (email) address? You could call Logos to merge the accounts.

Did you get the minimal cross grade to add interlinear capabilities?

Actually Richard you do own a base package because your 'older version' of the Scholars Library is available to you on Logos 4. Probably a call to Customer Support will sort out getting it installed on your Mac and available on your iPad.

It is well worth the few dollars that the 'Minimal Cross-grade' costs to make sure that all the new features of the Scholars Library are available to you.
You didn't actually pay for the 'original program' you payed for the books/resources that are in the Scholars Library. These resources have been continuously updated and extra functionality has been added over the years.
I suggest that you have a chat with Customer Service and find out about the advantages of getting the cross-grade option.
