I feel like its been awhile since Bob came on and talke about the app progress.  With the iOs just getting notes,  I was wondering if we were close at all.  Also is there a feed telling us whats going on with the Android app development, goals, plans, etc.?  I feel like a mushroom in the dark...

Well - at least you arent being fed ####.[:O].  Logos wont give a date, they have been burnted badly with dates in the past.

No feed per say, they have hired more android developers, so if we give them a month to get their heads round the existing code and another month to undersand what we want, maybe before the summer recess?? (But knowing my predictions it could be next week)

"Soon" on iOS notes turned into amost 6 months..

We have six developers working on Android right now; they are working on a lot of core functionality, and moving towards getting notes and highlighting in, as well as support for various other features. I'm sorry, but I don't have a projected date, but progress continues. Internal beta releases are weekly.

Bob, how about releasing a beta version of the software, separate from what we already have. Like running L4 stable and L4 beta on the same machine?

Thanks for the update Bob.  I know this won't happen overnight, but I guess I would like to see some more communication on progress and future developments.  Maybe something weekly as a sticky at the top of the forum to say "this week we added..."  I trust that the Awesome Android Developer 6 are working diligently; we just like to know.

A beta would be fun... Smile

    That's what we're running now.

A new beta would be more fun.

for sermon prep & using the tablet to peach from,  notes & categories similar to on the pc & highlighting are more than essential.  i have to keep using olivetree bible reader to preach from until logos catches up.  please make these functions & features high priority.

Update 1.0.0 Beta for Logos has been released.  When it goes live on the Amazon Store, we Kindle Fire owners will get it.  In the meantime I'm making do with the "And Bible" and the Tecarta Bibles for my Kindle fire.  I don't mind using three Bible Android products.  Tecarta just updated their Zondervan NIV Study Bible to make the user notes sync to their other NIV Bible.  I exported my personal Logos notes to Word and then exported them to Amazon as a Personal Document now being slowly exported to Tecarta.

I believe Logos 1.0.0 still does not allow notes made on the PC version to by synced to the Android version.  That will be the critical improvement I need for Logos.

Syncing the reading plans was first step in getting there, if theres no disasters we may see highlighting and notes in the not to distant future (at least thats my prayer) but they will be getting the syncing right first as there were "issues" which am sure they will want to avoid that they encountered when the released the version for the fruit machine,,
