A Question about Prophecies

I am looking for a resource, preferably in Logos that
explains how scholars are able to determine when an OT prophecy has both
present and future fulfillment. For
example: Jeremiah 31:15 has a dual fulfillment – both when Israel is taken
into captivity and also in Matthew 2:16-18 when Herod kills the infants. This one is easy to figure out because
Matthew says it is a fulfillment of Jeremiah’s prophecy, but what about others
that are not so clear?

One idea is searching library for:

prophecy WITHIN 12 WORDS (dual,multiple) WITHIN 12 WORDS (fulfilled,fulfillment)
