Does Anyone Else Experience Delays/Stalls When Moving Through Pages?

Galaxy LTE II, Android 3. something, Hi-speed Internet, excellent wi-fi (n) connection.

When I swipe (or whatever the correct term is)  to move to next page, there is a noticeable delay or lag in the display. I'm not doing anything very complicated. Just reading a book or bible. Sometimes it can take more than a minute to display the next section of text. Given the small amount of text displayed (4.5" screen) it's a real pain and I usually give up.

Is it me or my system or do others also experience this delay/lag?

I also get delays associated with internet loading.  The longest ones are when I'm out of wifi range.

I am too impatient however to wait a minute for one, so after 20-30 seconds I just close the app and switch to something else.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I have a Nexus S w/ ICS (and an iPad, but it's the same experience there too), and I see the delay too.

Downloading resources helps, but it doesn't solve the problem. If I start swiping through page turns too fast, it hangs up for a while (I presume while some page cache loads). But even single page turns after having spent time reading the existing page can take "too long" on downloaded resources.

I chalk it up to immaturity in the mobile apps. Clearly they have some kind of caching going on, though it doesn't seem to be the right amount or under the right circumstances. For instance, if the app knows that you are on a mobile connection and you're using some resource online, then it should download the whole resources from that page out (toward the front and the back). A series of pages should be available immediately going back and forth (and they are to some degree, but it's a very small window), and it should probably grow the longer you're in a resource.

I suspect I will get better as they release new versions. The Android app has gotten way better since I first started using it (thank you Logos!), and I have high hopes for the future.
