Closing a book in the "read" window

I keep opening resources in the "read" window and I can cycle through each open resource.  How do I close a resource?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Can you explain a bit more? Are you using split screen? Why do you want to "close" a resource?

You can't close a resource - all you can do is replace it with another one.

I should have been more explicit.  Sorry.  I go to my library and open several books so that I can read them.  I now have 5 or 6 books open that I no longer want to read and I want to close or be done with several of them.  At the top left of the "read" view, there is a left arrow that cycles me through the open books but I can find nothing that lets me close a book.  I'd like to clear them out and start over.

John - Those books aren't "open." That is merely the history. I am not aware of a way to delete the history. Of course, as you open new books, the history will slowly be replaced.

In the History window there is an edit button at the top right.

If you press this you have the option to select resources to be removed from the history (rotate the wheel on the left and press the delete button which appears on the right)

In my screen shot, you can see the "edit' button. This will open buttons to delete each book from the history. I will reiterate though, that this does not actually "close" any books. There are two books open at all times (either two in split screen mode, or one behind the other in full screen mode).

I use the "history" button to advance through my sermon Scriptures. To use it that way, you must enter the Scriptures that you will be using in your sermon in reverse order. Then it is just a matter of hitting the history button each time you need to go to the "next" Scripture in your sermon.

If this hasn't been stated already, once the history window is open you can just swipe any resource or entry in the history window you don't want to show up any longer and a Delete button will appear.
