Highlighting has become very sluggish

I love the ability to mark up text as I read in Logos as it makes reading a more active experience. However, from about three days ago, highlighting has become prohibitively slow (I estimate about 8 seconds per highlight). So far as I'm aware, nothing has changed with my computer/internet connection. It sometimes comes good if I restart Logos, but not always.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Could it be due to the note file size becoming excessively large? Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome.

I have found the same thing.

I've just noticed that its associated with a sharp increase in CPU activity (up to about 50%) and I often see the spinning wheel while waiting for highlighting to appear.

This has always been inherent with the highlight/note integration and can be minimised by use of a file strategy e.g. smaller Note files along with other suggestions found in this forum.
v 4.5b promises some relief for large files and should be released in the next week.

I have the seen the same problem all of the sudden in the last few day.
By the way, this is in a note file dedicated to a single book. And I'm only on the first chapter!

The upgrade to 4.5b has solved this problem for me. That's great! It's such a relief to be able to highlight again! Thanks, Logos!
