CP: The Works of St. Ephraim (4 vols.) -- 3,5 hours to reach $15

The Works of St. Ephraim (4 vols.) still needs a few more bids at $15 or $20 in the next 3,5 or so hours in order to go for $15. Surely there must be some more people out there who don't want to miss this important writer?

Just for you
I raised my bid to $15. I still don't think it will make it but perhaps...

Thanks Tom [:D]

Perhaps had Logos fixed it's Syriac font before developing Syriac resources, I might have promoted their resources to my Syriac class. But they are effectively useless right now.

The price will never be better than now and the fixes should be free when done. But I can see your problem with timing, you need to know WHEN.... [*-)]

How very kind of you! [:)]

Probably not, unless more people are willing to bid "just for me", but you can't blame a girl for trying...

Good point. But David's got a point too.
At least you helped by bumping the thread. Keep bumping every 20 minutes or so. Who knows...[:)]

Come on, you all. It is a good deal now and is SO close to being a GREAT deal. Just a few more bids please!

It's a bit much to explain to people you're trying to promote a product to: 'buy this now but it doesn't quite work yet'. [bump]

The English parts should work! [:D]
And, who knows, by the time they ship the Syriac might work as well. Or not.

Not sure from the writeup just how much syriac is in the collection; most appears to be english translations.
There's sure some nuggets across the board, relative to one's interests.
- Diatesseron comments
- Marcion from an eastern-ish perspective (vs western, up in France)
- Early hymns that are closer to aramaic usage (compared to greek)
Really a good collection.
If you miss the CP, it'll still be worh the much higher price you'll later pay.

Perhaps I should have pushed the Georg Curtius Greek Studies Collection (4 vols.) instead. That one could actually still go down a step.
For poor Ephraim I dare say it's too late. $20 it is. [:(]
(Btw, look what the increments do: if Ephraim's had been $3 ones, it would have gone for $18 instead of $20, and if Curtius had been the one with $5 ones, it would have gone for $25 instead of $27.)Mac Pro (late 2013) OS 12.6.2

So why is Curtius valuable?

Personally looking forward to learning more about Greek verbal development => The Greek Verb: Its Structure and Development
Searching for Curtius finds 32 hits in a Greek reference grammar => Grammar of the Greek New Testament in the Light of Historical Research that is included in Scholar's Platinum and Portfolio. Overall found 1,192 results in 915 articles in 285 resources in my Logos library (albeit searching for Curtius includes others with same surname, but also noticed a number of references in various Greek grammar resources).
Keep Smiling [:)]
