Need Advice; Logos not starting after update to 4.5b

I could use some quick assistance if anyone has experienced this problem and found a solution. Since the most recent update this week, Logos will not finish starting. We are logging on, we get a windows opening, the musical notes play, we get the icon starting to make its little rounds while it should load the homepage, but it stops. I get the infamous "not responding" message and can only close the program using the task manager.
I atached the log file for anyone who can make sense of such things.
Thanks you for your assistance. I am all ears ... I mean eyes to read any advice.

Can you start using a blank layout? To do this hold the control buttom down while double clicking the L4 icon. This should give you a login screen and at the bottom left check the box to start with a blank layout

It does not seem to make a difference whether it loads with a blank screen or working off line. When loading with a blank desktop, I have access to file, tools, etc. but the program crashes when you tyr to access the library or search buttons.

We need to see crash and error logs in \Logos Log files folder as well as a logos4.log BEFORE you restart L4.

This is the only log file in the folder. It appears to be different from the one posted on the original message.

Still having problems but I have another log file in the Logos Log Files folder. Is this what we are looking for? I have attached one file in this post and will attach the other file in a second post.

You can attach several files in one post - just place them on separate lines.
However, we need log files with the words "crash" or "error" in their name as the ones you posted do not help. Get L4 to crash again and immediately upload those + logos4.log.

Dave,
Thanks for your patience. I believe I have what you were looking for in the Logos logs. I apologize I am still not having any luck posting multiple files to a single post. I will make three posts with the files. Thanks again.

I am not the expert with logs, that is Dave's area of expertise. However it appears that the problem is occurring when you are trying to communicate with the Logos servers.
Can you start and work in logos in offiline mode?
I have also sent an email that links this thread to someone at Logos. They can see what is happening on their end.

I haven't ever seen this error before, and searching the Internet for the error message hasn't turned up anything helpful yet.
It is related to network access, so you should be able to work around it by holding down the CTRL key when you start Logos 4, then clicking the "Work offline" button on the Sign In dialog that appears.
However, this will disable Sync, prevent you from downloading new books, etc., so it's not a great long-term solution.
The code that's crashing is in the .NET Framework itself, and appears to be unrelated to any code we changed in Logos 4.5b. Have you restarted your computer recently? This may be a transient problem that just "disappears" if you reboot.

Microsoft has this to say about the error you're encountering (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms740668.aspx):
Network is down.
A socket operation encountered a dead network. This could indicate a serious failure of the network system (that is, the protocol stack that the Windows Sockets DLL runs over), the network interface, or the local network itself.
Are you having network connection problems with any other programs?

I appreciate your assistance. Unfortunately I may be suffering from a more basic problem and the difficulty with Logos is only a side piece.
I have recently run into a problem in which Windows is taking approximately 15 minutes to start up and about 7 to 10 minutes to shut down. Once Windows was up everything appeared to run as usual. I could live with that situation for a while. After updating Logos to 4.5, I started having problems with Logos. That I cannot live with.
There does not seeem to be a difference between running Logos offline or online, it still locks up and shows not responding.
It appears that I may be at a point of making a chance in hardware systems before the problem spreads to other areas.
There does not seem to be any problem connecting with networks (wireless at home or hardwire at work). Other proframs appea to be working acceptably at this time.
Bradley, am I correct in assuming that if I move to a different computer, and load Logos on to that computer, that everything will be transferred to the new computer, including notes, books, layouts? Or should they be transferred manually?
Thanks again for your insight.

Notes, books, and layouts are supposed to sync with the servers, so yes, in theory, everything should appear. You can manually transfer if you want. The biggest issue is over downloads & indexing.

Manually need to transfer Personal Book(s), which are not (yet) synced with Logos servers.

Make sure to transfer the .docx files if you intend to update them!
