iOS 2.1.3 keeps crashing after 1 min of operation

My PC desktop version is 4.5b and has huge highlighting files. I thought this version is supposed to resolved this problem. I've deleted and reinstalled the program and it still crashes.

Up to now I've never get my iPad (1st gen 32GB) to sync highlighting with my desktop though my iPhone 4S (64GB) successfully did so using the same a/c and notebook PC.

Very disappointed after a long wait to get update.

    With the recent update, Logos on my iPhone 4S is also crashing after every 2-3 minutes. I've deleted and reinstalled (thus wiping out my downloaded books) but it didn't solve the problem.

    Does anyone experience repeated crashing?

    Mine did crash a few times.

     

    This is how I fixed it.  I started the app in offline mode, then I turned my wifi on and went back to the Logos app. It has not crashed since then. 

     

    When the app became available, I was sitting in a hospital waiting room and originally thought it was because of the wifi strength. So when I got home I tried what I wrote above.

     

    I also had to do the same thing with the Vyrso and FaithLife Study Bible apps.

    Yes I have the same problem and have for some time now.  I keep hoping for a fix but none as yet.  I believe it is do to note syncing.

    I am experiencing exactly the same thing all day long. I can't get it to work. This is not very helpful the week before exams. I hope someone can get this fixed soon.

    Stephen - What "exactly" are you experiencing? If you want a quick answer, I would suggest deleting and reinstalling. NOTE: you will lose your downloaded resources. If you want to explain more, I would love to help troubleshoot.

    Syncing of huge highlighting/notes files to iOS mobile devices has not yet been resolved.  If you would, can you check to see how large the notes.db file is on your Desktop system?  Thanks...

    I found mine in "myusername/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/uf2zilgx.0ig/Documents/Notes"

    Is that the notes.db? Mine is almost 13mb. Thanks for telling me where to look, by the way. [:)]

    Does Vyrso do the same? Did you have problems with the app crashing before the update? There were several users having problems with large note files crashing the Logos app… I can't remember if you were one of them.  (Sorry. [:$])

    the file was called "notes.db" and I am assuming there was only one. I like to highlight when I am working, so I guess it is conceivable.

    I tried Vyrso and it crashed as well. I was having some problems before the update, but not nearly as much as now. It regularly crashed, but after about 5 or 10 minutes, not 1 minute like it is doing now.

    This issue is present in Vyrso, Logos, Faithlife and Biblia - the sync code is shared - so it won't be fixed in one app and broken in another.  FYI - I'm using a 220 mb notes file for testing, and once that works I'll increase it to 1GB just to make sure.

    I know. I was just trying to troubleshoot to see if it really is the same issue.

    This week I had a resource (or at least note in the resource) specific issue that caused Logos to crash. The resource would not open to the troubled spot in Vyrso, so it technically didn't "junk" the app. The resource was able to open in the Logos app because of "sync" panels in split screen mode. The app would crash almost immediately after opening. It took me a while, but I eventually figured out how to make the troublesome panel active quickly enough and navigate to the library to change resources. All that to say, just because Stephen's app has a similar symptom (crash soon after launch), doesn't mean it is the same problem that other users are experiencing (but it may be).

    My notes.db files is 59,662KB

    I'm using a 220 mb notes file for testing, and once that works I'll increase it to 1GB just to make sure.

    please please then [if not already inplace] allow to have a setting to not sync using mobile data, but allow us to sync by wifi only - syncing that file (200mb) would kill my dataplan, well maybe not but it would use 80% of it..

    where does Logos save the notes.db file on a Mac?  I'd like to know how big mine is

    In your user account:

    Library > Application Support > Logos4 > Documents > [random] > Documents > Notes

    NOTE: in OSX 10.7 (Lion), the library is hidden by default. By pressing the "option" key while looking at the go menu in the finder will reveal it.
