Using NKJV, suppose I'm wanting to do a word study on the word "charitable" eg Matt 6:1
Just before the verse is the word "Charitable" in a subtitle (I'm using this because this is an easy way to demo the problem; there are other ways to get there.
Touch "Charitable" in the header text (ie in "Charitable Deeds")
- It will look up "Charitable", and give a link for a Bible Word Study on "Charitable"
- Open the word study
- You get no definition or hebrew words, but you do get the associated Greek lemma
- Touch the greek lemma... you'll get a list of verses where it is used
- Touch the highlighted "charitable" in the list of verses. You'll get nothing other than an opportunity to copy/paste.
- What you will not find is any link/click path leading to the word's definition, Louw-Nida lookup, etc!
Now touch "Charitable" in the text on the line below (Matt 6:1)
- It will look up "Charitable", provide several variants (Strongs, etc), and give a link for a Bible Word Study on the underlying greek
- Touch the Bible Word Study
- You'll get definition, Louw-Nida link, english translations, and (if you click on one of the english words) a list of verses same as above
The Bug
Once I've made it to a "Word Study" that shows me the greek lemma underlying an English word, shouldn't the Logos App enable the same result in both cases? It has the greek word... why not the Louw-Nida link and definition, let alone Strongs etc etc etc?

The header is non-bible text so there are no underlying lemmas. The bible word, being part of a reverse interlinear, will produce the underlying lemma for a BWS. Only the reverse interlinear bibles will produce lemmas but you must be online else you get a BWS on the English word.

Understood. Yet... once I have the lemma on-screen, shouldn't I be able to get to the rest of the info, such as the greek definition, L-N link, etc?

The desktop L4 app will allow you to conduct a BWS on a lemma that you select from the Greek or Hebrew Words sections. It would require a suggestion for that to happen with the mobile apps.
