Is this available in Logos? Exploring....

Hey there,
I've searched for it and did not find it. Maybe I've missed it?
Looking for the John Phillips Commentary Series. Is it available?
IF not, does anyone know of a similar commentary series that is available in Logos? In particular, with the detailed alliterative outline style?

Thanks, LaRosa.
So then the question remains... does anyone know of anything similar available in Logos?

Tom, I am not aware of anything similar in Logos. I do not have a huge Logos library though - I have the scholars base package and a number of other volumes. You may want to suggest it to Logos and see if they can produce it. John Phillips commentary is one of my favorite commentaries. I seldom do a study without referring to it.

Hey Tom,
No, JP is not available in Logos, though I'd love to see it here once and for all. Now, that being said, the only thing closer is the Analytical Bible Expositor by John G. Butler. In fact, get the Studies of the Savior, Biography Series and ABE and you'll have pretty much a good descent commentary on the whole N.T. and parts of the O.T. in alliterated form. I own all the OT volumes of the ABE and the Biography Series along with the Studies of the Savior and I'm pretty much happy with them. I don't have the N.T. set of the ABE because I didn't really see a need for me to have them. Anyway, I hope this info helps.
Blessings!

If you happen to have more than one Bible Software product, you can get this series elsewhere.

Donovan,
I do and I am aware of that. To be quite honest, I have decided to move away from that program. Logos is my choice. My Macbook Pro is a 2006 model so it doesn't run Logos very well. My windows lappy runs it awesome
I just don't have the desire to swap back and forth between two computers or between emulation software to get the other program on my Windows machine.

Makes sense particularly if you are primarily Windows based. I do use two programs (used to be three) for different purposes. In an ideal world I would be able to take the bits of what I like about each program to make one, but life isn't that way. Additionally, resources are not always in your preferred format and operating system for the intended purpose.

I'd also prefer to have Logos as the only bible study program on my computer but there are resources that Logos doesn't have including at least one that has an exclusive licensing agreement with another company. One program that has this resource is Windows native and runs on Mac under wine/X11.

If you have the time you can start doing what others (myself included) have done: Do a Personal Book back up copy of your John Phillips Commentaries. Since they are yours you can pretty much use them for your own personal benefit without violating the copyright. Take a look:
Blessings!

By the way, "Logos is my # 1 Bible Software Program too." Sorry for the competition but Logos has literally smoked the competition...hehehe [;)]. I almost bought John G. Butler's work from the other company when all of the sudden it came to Logos and I jumped right in and got them at a better price on pre-pub and didn't have to go through the trouble of making personal books to be able to use them in Logos. Great software!
Blessings!
