Private Messages?
Is there no way to delete Private Messages yet?

Ummm.. yeah.
A private message sent from one user to another. As far as I can tell, they haven't turned on the functionality to delete those messages yet.
Just checking to see if it was a functionality oversight or they just haven't turned the feature on as of yet.

Do you mean the messages that can be written on a forum user's profile page? While I wouldn't consider them "private" since anyone can see them, you can delete them by clicking the delete link on the right side of the message when viewing it on your profile page.

I suspect he's referring to the "Messaging" functionality that was added to Faithlife.com last week. It allows Faithlife.com users to send messages directly to other Faithlife.com users.

Yup.... this is what I'm referring to. Alabama, obviously I cannot. However, the point I'm trying to get to is whether it has been omitted, not added on purpose or they just haven't gotten to it yet. As well as making sure that something wasn't broken on my end that is supposed to be or expected to be there on the other.
Thanks for.... ummm... posting.

Tom, sorry, I didn't mean to omit the answer to your question. I believe that archiving, rather than deleting, is what will eventually be implemented. But, as you note, it is unimplemented as of yet.

Cameron,
just a remark: I saw this on the FL site, but at first it only says: "compose message" in an otherwise empty screen. I didn't feel like sending a message to all of faithlife (which I wrongly assumed the function to be), thus I refrained from doing something with it.
Now I see that the moment you click in the compose box, the UI changes to give two boxes, the search for adressee (gives only hits for a user and for a group I am admin of, not one I am member of, right?) and the message content.
It would maybe be more intuitive if the two boxes were up from the beginning (or the text "compose a new message" changed to "send a message to:" since that's the box it is).
Just my thoughts, Mick
