logos app slow on old iPhone

I've got a 2nd hand iPhone, takes ioS version 4.2.1(8C148) and seems to think it's the latest software.  Logos works pain fully slowly on it, online and offline, tho I've downloaded very few books.  Vyrso also works very slowly.  I did originally find an opportunity to check if I needed an update.of iOS.  Can't locate that now.  Logos and vyrso both updated today.

I also got a new iPod, latest version, and logos and vyrso work fine on that.  I suspect I may just have to live with the fact that they don't work happily on the iPhone with iOS 4.2.1.

Any advice very welcome!

    Unfortunately, I think you are right. I don't remember all the specs, but the Logos app is not fully compatible with the older hardware/iOS software. Highlighting & notes, for example, are not available on the older systems.
