Open Logos4, click on Tools -> Biblical Places. Window pops up but only gray inside.0045.biblical_places_blank.zip
Looking at Logos4.log noticed Bible Places is crashing when trying to display a Historical Development of Modern Israel map for Nazareth.
Also noticed process number 46,515 so know has been awhile since Mac has been restarted, which resets process number to 0.
One idea is restarting Mac.
Another idea is right click on a place in a Bible, then click Place, followed by Biblical Places, which should open Biblical Places (hopefully with a different map).
Keep Smiling [:)]
I closed and re-opened Logos4 and then went to Luke 2 and right-clicked on "Bethlehem" and selected Biblical Places. It still comes up blank. Here's the log from this procedure.

Rebooting didn't help either. Neither did starting with a blank layout.
Perhaps someone from the Mac development team knows of a file related to Places that can be deleted to force Logos to clear out its cache?
Looking at Logos4.log appears loading media for "Bethlehem Of Judah" in map "Historical Development Of Modern Israel" into Biblical Places is crashing.
Wonder about opening a Bible to Acts 18, then right click on Athens, click place, then Biblical Places ? (cause Biblical Places to open a different map)
Personally wish for a Biblical Places option when changing maps to turn off zoom out and zoom in animation. Perhaps add a button to Biblical Places so can click for animation when desired (instead of many map changes spending seconds to zoom out and in).
I tried Athens from Acts 18... still no success.

Is there not some way to reset Biblical Places? I tried moving a few .db files, but that only made things worse.
Would a re-index do the trick?
One option is use command: set update channel to default
that should download and install the latest stable release: Logos 4.5b SR-1
Then try Biblical Places again. If still fails, then call Logos Mac Support => http://www.logos.com/about/contact
By the way, the stable channel currently has the most recent Logos 4 Mac release.
Setting update channel to default and installing the latest stable release didn't resolve the problem :-((
Will call Logos Mac support in the morning.
Thanks for all the help!
I called Logos support and they gave me the following instructions:
After closing Logos4, navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Logos4/data/<rdm folder>/
Move the following folders to the desktop: UpdateManager and DownloadManager.
Then open ResourceManager and delete the Downloaded folder.
After restarting Logos4, Biblical Places works again. :-)
