Community Pricing - a slowdown? No production-level bidding this week?

I believe this could be the first week this year that there are no Community Pricing items that reach the production interest level. It will at least, assuming nothing changes today, be the first time since maybe January.

For which I am somewhat grateful - the backlog is growing pretty large, and will be a significant budget drain in the coming year.

Deep down in my heart, no, I don't want it to stop. There's lots of in-the-pipeline goodies that I am highly desirous for that have not gathered enough interest to reach production yet.

Deep down in my bank account? That's another story. Especially since in 60-120 days I willl be unemployed for the first time in over 30 years.

[OT] Start looking NOW! some places will not hire you if you do not currently have a job.  I think they need to buy Logos 4 and research 'LOVE'

I am working on my 2014 budget.

Good advice. I've been told that many times. But, if I leave before my employer of over 30 years (that's right, I've worked for the same employer for over 30 years) releases me, I sacrifice oodles of severance compensation.

I see what mean by "get caught up".

This evening four items I've committed to buying finally got projected delivery dates, all NOT classic commentary sets:

    The Works of Horatius Bonar

Dictionary of Christ and The Gospels

    CI Schofield Collection

    St Patrick, Apostle of Ireland

Was The Life and Works of Horatius Bonar ever in Community Pricing? It shows up as a pre-pub order for me, "pre-ordered on 4/27/2009" for $169.95. As these things too often turn out, it's catching me at a not-so-great time.

I think you're right, Bonar was never a CP item.

Randal, not knowing u'r line of work, maybe a 'consultant' for the company may be of an interest. 30 yrs should surely account for something.

Thanks, Randal. It seems like a set that would have been a CP offering. I hope I can avoid canceling the order.

Hope you the best on the employment front.

Bill, I went back to the day you ordered Bonar in 2009 on archive.org, and it looks like it was a Pre-Pub that has seen some adjustment from an L3 pre-pub to an L4 pre-pub.  Still on fence about this one with such good work in it.   ...and from the school of Chalmers!

    Check it out!
