BUG: FSB videos not displaying correctly

I just received an update to the FSB videos and I went to view some.  But when I click play the sound starts but the video is all white.  Or rather almost all white--it's like it is complete washed-out and over-exposed.  I can see a bit of grey shadows moving, but it's completely unwatchable.  Here's a still from "Philippi's First Century AD Jail" (you can see a little detail in the corners):

I've rebooted my computer to try to rule out a system problem.  Is it just me having this problem?

    Todd,

It's working great on my machine [;)]

Here are some things I would be interested in:

    1. What is the version of your resource. Mine is "2012-05-08T23:22:30Z" (to check the version click the "Resource Information" icon (circled i at the top right of the panel.)
    2. Could you post the logos4.log file?
    3. Can you play other videos with any success?
    4. I'd love to have you delete the local version of the file to see if that corrects the issue but I'd also like to know why it is failing for you... Do you have another computer with Logos on it that you could try playing the same video from?

Good here too. Any chance you had a graphics driver  update in the last few days/week?

    • Same Version as you: 2012-05-08T23:22:30Z
    • Log file after playing two different videos from the FSB video resource: 1555057.Logos4.log
    • All of the FSB videos do the same thing.  I have no other video resources.
    • Sorry, I do not have another computer with Logos on it.

The videos worked in the past, and I have not recently updated my video drivers.  I will delete the resource in a bit to see if a new copy fixes it, but since the video is streamed, I'm not sure if deleting the local resource would make much difference.

I hid, then unhid the FSB Video resource (forcing a re-download), and it did not change the way videos play for me.

Rather than delete the resource (which I wouldn't expect to make a difference) you can delete the locally cached videos (they are actually cached in Windows 7) and redownload them. Before you do that I would love to have you back up the videos you do have. (in case we need to look at the videos themselves.)

    1. Copy the contents of "C:\Users\Todd\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\4asxrlsf.kyr\WebCache" to another location
    2. In the FSV Videos resource panel menu (while in the Overview mode) Click "Delete downloaded videos" (alternatively just delete the contents of that folder after you've backed them up.)
    3. Try playing the video again (if you delete the contents of the folder please quit and relaunch the app first).

Well, I did all of this but nothing changed.  I uploaded a zip of the current WebCache folder (since it was smaller than the backup copy) to here:

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/79905056/WebCache.zip

This all seems like a driver issue, but I have no problems with other video players, plus my drivers haven't changed. (Intel HD Graphics 3000, version 8.15.10.2538)

This is still a problem for me with the latest beta.
