Greek Search Question

Is it possible in Logos ...

to do a search on letter combinations within Greek words?

One useful example: I would like to see all the Greek words that use: "gamma right next to gamma" OR "gamma right next to a kappa". And other places where gamma is pronounced as a "n". It would be helpful to be able to compile lists like this for study .

Use a 'Ctrl-F' search in the Greek NT. You can use this to search for individual letters or pairs of letters.

Thanks Gary, I hadn't thought of that, but I really want to be able to accomplish this in the SEARCH tool so I can save my results as a verse list (or eventually a word list).

I thought (briefly) about this. A morphological search deals with words so I attempted a bible search of the NA27. γγ OR γκ—no hits. I would conclude that a bible search also words with whole words. I don't think this is possible other than by using <ctrl-F> as already suggested.

Ok - I tried this search and thought it had hung my computer --- but it does seem to work -- just be prepared to wait quite a while.

Did you make any change to your keyboard to be able to streamline this? I would think I need to type: "g:*gg* OR g:*gk*" but this doesn't seem to work.

Bottom line: I am not able to replicate your results yet.

I copied and pasted from a Greek NT then just put an asterisk on either side. Or you can copy and paste this -- *γχ* OR *γγ*

It works here, under ‘Bible’ and ‘Morph’ hit the same verses in 1 John, did it w/NA27 and w/the interlinear [I know George..but it was there....hehehehhe!! [:$]. ]

My mistake was failure to place an asterisk before and after γγ and γκ. I seldom search for part of a word.
