Slows down iTunes backup

I reverted to an older version of the Logos app this morning to try to troubleshoot problems I am having with the Look Up function. After I had put the older version of the app on my iPad and then went through the sync/backup routine I was shocked at how much faster the backup in iTunes went. I knew that my iTunes backups were "crawling," but I didn't realize it was because of the Logos app. Actually, I am guessing it is having resources downloaded on the iPad that brings the backup to a crawl because I haven't downloaded any resources yet to my iPad now that I have reinstalled the older version of the app. If you are wondering, I had around 4,600 resources downloaded previously.

Yes. An 80 MB file will sync much quicker than an 800 MB one will.

Question: What computer are you using? What OS are you running on your iPad?

I am using a 2.2 GHz i7 MB Pro with 8 GB of RAM (Mac OS X 10.7.4). Using 5.1.1 on the iPad. What I find interesting is that I have numerous 800+ MB video files on my iPad still. If I remove one of them, but still have my Logos library on my iPad I don't see near the improvement in backup/sync time that I get if I remove the Logos library from my iPad.
