Sync Question

When I ( we?) see the sync indicator turn to the Yellow Triangle ( sync not working) , should I Close and restart Logos at that point?
Is it possible the sync function not working is causing some of the other issues?
I am not sure of what is being synced and how it relates to other functions within Logos.
If this question has no bearing on any function of "just using" Logos, please inform and I will remove the thread and it's clutter.
Thanks ahead of time for helping my ignorance on this matter.
Blessings

Logos 4 syncs often.
If (when) yellow triangle appears, personally tend to click triangle again to retry sync.
If triangle reappears, tend to ignore for an hour or so, then try again.
If still not syncing, like to look for diagnostic log file(s), especially Logos4Error.log for triangle cause.
Am aware of several forum threads in the past few weeks about various sync issues plus some server fixes by Logos.
Personally have Logos 4.5c Beta 2 open on Mac and PC with sync often happening quickly.

So it really does not have anything to do with functionality of regular usage like passage guides, scrolling, searching etc?

In theory, should not. In current implementation, have my doubts since sync uploads and downloads (not know if download reapplies sync change). Potentially a sync item generated on a computer could be synced to Logos servers, then downloaded back to be "applied" to original source computer, which could revert/interfere with interactive change(s) on that computer. Would appreciate clarification by Logos development about sync interaction potential, especially when hardware and/or network has significant lag time.
When using two Logos 4 installations, have learned having same item in both can cause surprises (e.g. Library prioritization jumping up and down with sync interaction). Another example, opened a Greek Morphology visual filter on Mac, then modified it. Before changes were synced to PC, opened same visual filter, then closed it without making any changes. Back on the Mac, clicking on Files menu showed two versions of visual filter, so renamed and kept both sets of visual filters with one having new additional lines. Caveat: was surprised by visual filter (2) appearing.

The sync system uses timestamps to determine which version of sync data to download and use.
So, if you upload a document at 2pm, then edit that document at 2:30 pm, the sync service examines the two versions of the document and will upload the newer version rather than downloading the old.
Hope that helps,
