Search a resource which is open
I have the Dictionary of Paul and His Letters open in reading view. I want to search only this book for a particular word or Bible reference. I have gone to Search but do not know how to simply sear ch only this book. Is there an easy way I am missing? Thanks.

Joan:
Try Ctrl+F (or the Mac equiv). That displays a text box in the Locator Bar (or in its place if it isn't showing) where you type the word and click up or down to search. One small heads-up: the text box itself sometimes covers up the found word, so you might have to scroll up to see it.
EDIT:
1,000 duhs. Note to self: when responding from Home page, check the forum of the post.

I cannot find a Ctrl key on the iPad keyboard or it's equivalent. Even if I did know it, the keyboard does not appear to me when I try to type in reading view unless I select the box at the top where I can type a page number in?
Edit: Just saw your edit. Back to my first question...

Joan - I just tried this and I don't think everything is up to speed. I know that recent books populate in the list, but I am not sure when or how to for them to do so. Your best bet would be to choose "recent books." I was able to successfully search a book this way, although other book results were in the list too. Sorry I can't be more help.

I just did this to ensure it worked but I am not sure if it is altogether consistent.
I concur.
Yes, DPL showed up in that list as number nineteen out of thirty nine resources which comprise that list. Why it is in the middle of the pack, I don't know. IMHO, I think Logos needs to do a few video tutorials which explain how to use the Logos app o the iPad. I fear this list in Basic search will continue to grow with resources I open up and I will ultimately need to do a search just to find the right resource on the list that I want to search. Thank you Jerry and Alabama.

I agree. There are some videos, but many of them are outdated. I think part of the problem is the continuing migration to sync v2. Some things just don't work right. It is my understanding that the recently used books should show up in that list, but alas, they do not always do so.
