Notes - Best Practices for my situation?

I'm reading a book on my iPad. I want to collect all the really good parts of the book so that I can quickly reference them later. Here is my process:

Problems I'm encountering:

 

1. In the "notes" file in Logos 4, the "full" view doesn't show the entire text highlighted (just one line). Reveals the whole things when I click the text (it expands). Any way to just show all the content?
2. The "link" reference is strange. Instead of showing resource/page number, it shows (in some cases) book title, and in other cases, it shows a Bible reference. I would prefer that it show resource and page number (or something similar). Is that possible?
3. When exporting, no page numbers or anything of the highlighted text is included. That would be AMAZINGLY helpful.

 

Ultimately, I want to mark up my resource and be able to generate a document that has all the "highlights", with resource and page references. Is that possible? Is there a better tool than highlighting? Clippings may work? One key is that I need to do most of the reading/highlighting on my iPad.

Any advice?

1. If you want the entire text quoted, and you would like to also make notes on it, I would use the "Clippings" feature. This copies the entire highlighted text, and allows you to make notes underneath it. You can even play with the formatting of the text. If you want that same text highlighted just have the highlight panel open and just the color you want to use. 

2. No, this is not possible. The Notes feature most accurately mimics a sticky pad that you would make notes on and put in the book itself. The link in the notes will take you to where you made that note. This is also why you don't see us quoting your entire highlighted bit of text when you make a note on selection. You wouldn't repeat the entire chunk of text in your sticky bad note in a physical book. 

3. Exporting Clippings provides bibliographic information under each  "clipping". 

We aren't at this time syncing clippings with the iOS app, so I don't if Clippings would work better for you but I think it pretty much does what you want except automatically highlight text and sync to the iOS app.
