For those who have been waiting and wanting to add Anabaptist resources to our Logos libraries the wait is almost over. The Classic Anabaptist and Mennonite History Collection (19 vols.) ships tomorrow. I am personally very excited.
Does anyone have some suggestions on where to start reading?
I'm interested in reading the bio on Hübmaier.
That one does look interesting...also the Works of Menno Simmons in conjunction with the bio on him.
I'm looking forward to this. Tomorrow can't come soon enough.
In part, your starting point might be dictated by your specific interest or existing knowledge.
I just read a great book on the origins of Mennonites (not included in this package), and I do tend to think that one of the history books in this collection might be a good overview and nice lead-in to some of the others.
So that might mean History of the Mennonites or Mennonite Church History would make good starting points. At least I think that's the path I'm going to take.

I must admit... I do get a bit annoyed when a delay happens and there's no word about it.
I had an e-mail two days ago alerting me that my pre-order would be available on 6/8.
I've not had an official e-mail that there's been a delay. (Not that I really need one at this point.)
Had I not, by chance, gone to the product page today and noticed the change in dates, I probably would have been sitting at my computer tomorrow clicking the sync button over and over and wondering why nothing was happening. Which would have eventually led to a wasted call to tech support.
Delays happen, but a courtesy e-mail would have been nice.
What time of day do pre-pub items like this normally ship?
It seems to me any time after lunch.
I often receive notification about pre-pubs ready to be downloaded, early or late evening. I live in Ohio.
I haven't received an email yet, but the page for this collection is no longer a pre-pub!

Did notice the price went up about $25 today for the package compared to the pre-order.

I just got mine...it came through when I was on the phone with customer service trying to find out where it is.
