MyTags for resources covering Bible books
A while back I built and shared on the forums a controlled vocabulary for using Mytags in the Logos library. Here it is 7077.A Controlled Vocabulary for Logos Book Tags.doc. One day I will make some changes to it but they will be rather minor.
I hoped to avoid tagging Logos resources by book of the Bible. However I now have so many resources that discuss a particular book of the Bible but are not Bible indexed I now need to tag these resources by one or more Bible book names.
Resources that have a Bible index should, I feel, be found and researched using the Passage Guide tool. Once you have tagged your library with the tags (here they are) 5531.Bible Book Tags.docx, resources that are about a Bible book or books in general but not Bible indexed will best be found by opening the library, and clicking "MyTags." You can now expand the relevant tags and "scan" that "library self" for resources that may be of interest.

The design philosophy here is to have the tags short yet
appear in English canonical order and the Bible book recognized by just glancing at
the tag. Since I think I will sort the library by tag when “browsing
the shelves” the two digit number will keep the books in the order I
expect.
I have not implemented this system yet. I am still looking for
ideas.Got some?

How do some of the rest of you tag these kind of resources.
Surely I am not the only one trying to build a comprehensive tagging system.

I tag all of my books using individual book designations and set up collections for each of them.
I use "Com-1 Kings" "Com-2 Kings" etc...as mytags. I also combined all the NT & OT commentary collections into their own collections by dragging the individual book collections into the new NT or OT ones. (Yes there are strings you can use, but I have some books tagged in these collections that do not meet the normal strings that would be used).
I include monographs that deal with books of the Bible also. So I can search for a verse within the collection or use the mytag: (whatever your tag is) & type:monograph in Library search. May get around to creating some monograph collections.This was quite an undertaking when I first started doing it, but it is simple now since I tag books as soon as they download. If I find a monograph that covers part of a book of the Bible, I tag it also.
When I place them in their Collections as shown below:
A lot of work at first, but worth the time investment in the end in my opinion.

If everything is tagged, why do you need collections as well? Is there something you can do with collections that you cannot do with mytags?

Just a personal preference, some of my collections contain multiple mytag designations. I also use alot more tags than I have collections, so it is easier to go down my list of collections rather than mytags. Sometimes I also do mytag searches in my library also, just depends on convenience and which seems easiest at the time. I most always us my collections in my searching.

I think my system with do both job. Tags automatically build collection and by puttin the desired display sequence number in the tag I get the tags to display in a useable order.
Again I do not plan at this point to tag regular versified commentaries with these tags since the commentary section of the passage guide will find this for me. It was the non-versified resources for which I did not have a robust system. I will use a "collections" tag in my custom passage guide to find where these resources reference the passage under study.To do this I will make one collection that contains all the tags for the non versified resources that are about books of the Bible.
I have found that a lot of dynamic collections slows my system down.
