Not compatible with my tablet?

I've got a different problem with an Android 4 tablet - I have Logos on my android phone no problem, but from the tablet only the Spanish language version of Logos appears in the Google Play list. Vyrso is fine. Is there another way to access the app on my tablet?

I'll be frustrated if not, as Logos was one of my main reasons for getting a tablet in the first place!

I have a Zenithink ZT-280 Android tablet ("upgrade" version) with a
1024x600 screen running Android 4.03.   I have added a 16 Gb microSD
card. When I try to install Logos from the Android Market, it says it is
not compatible with the tablet (although it is with my Samsung Galaxy S
phone). Is this true? if so, what is the imcompatibility and can I do
anything about it?  it it the screen resolution perhaps?

Hi Shane,

There are many off-brand Android devices on the market that are inexpensive (i.e. cheap) but some of them have compatibility issues - not just with Logos apps but with many other apps.  I would highly recommend sticking with popular, mainstream Android devices made by well known manufacturers.  Please refer to this post - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/49397/365783.aspx#365783 .

I seem to have been caught out - I'm used to the idea that a Windows 7 PC is a Windows 7 PC and will run anything designed for Windows 7, albeit a bit slowly sometimes. Android seems not to work that way!

Quite why I can get the Spanish version is another question... Is there any way to access the files directly and load the English interface?

When windows 8 comes out there will be two vrients a desktop and tablet version the tablet version will not run windows apps only ones designed for the ARM chip. Android machines are all different and while Logos should run on most all there will e  bugs needing ironing out here and there so one should verify others have had success before getting a tablet if Logos compatibility is a big concern. I am sure Logos will do it;s best to get things running on your machine but Logos can;t possibly buy every device out in the android world to make sure there will be no problems. Good luck and like i said above if you ever get a Windows 8 tablet double check to make sure it has the full version if you are hoping to run Logos on it. I am sure if the Windows 8 tablet market is successful Logos will look into it but likely a bit off I would think.

Just installed the beta version here, which seems to work fine - so perhaps the problem is with Google Play rather than a direct compatibility issue.

All the usual caveats about beta releases apply, but it seems to work ok for me.

Glad it's working Nick.  I think the issue is related to Google Play expecting that your device have GPS functionality (which it probably doesn't) which is required for Proclaim presentation access.  Proclaim presentations won't work on your device (just like they don't on Kindle devices).  Since Biblia! doesn't support Proclaim that's probably why you were able to install it from Google Play.  I'll ask the Development team if there is something we can do about Google Play's requirements.

That sounds possible - though Google Play was offering to let me install Proclaim (along with Vyrso and Biblia) - just not Logos!
