Is Logos the right Bible software to replace QV for Mac?
As a former QuickVerse user, who has used Logos for almost 10 years, I would say a resounding YES!

I think Logos is a wonderful program, although it isn't as "mac like" as, well, I would like. [:)]

Curious about primary focus for your Bible studies ?
Likewise curious how much want to spend ? Logos has thousands more digital resources than other Bible programs, which can become a bit addictive for expanding library.
Personally Thankful for Logos Greek Morphology visual filters that can highlight range of verbal expression in Greek and English Bibles with appropriate tagging. Wiki Extended Tips for Visual Filters has => Examples of visual filters with a screen shot showing 5 visual filters.
Caveat: Logos 4 has more to learn compared to QuickVerse; wiki has => Getting Started with Logos Thankful for many friendly forum discussions; have learned a lot plus have a lot to learn. While Logos 4 has some awesome capabilities, Logos 4 also has some irritating quirks and responsiveness issues. Yet a number of sermons are prepared each week using Logos 4.

can logos import STEP format books?
There is nothing in Logos4 to import STEP compiled files (meaning the output of the MS files). So it depends on if you're the author or have the MS input files. If the latter, it would not be difficult to post-process them for Logos' Personal Books.
But I'm guessing you're asking to bring STEP books in directly; no.

Looking at wikipedia article => http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STEP_Library notice Standard Template for Electronic Publishing (STEP) uses Microsoft's Rich Text Format (RTF) with special STEP tags added.
Logos 4 uses Microsoft's newer docx format for personal books.
Apologies: personally not know QuickVerse print/export capabilities.
Observation: no comment being offered about potential copyright and publisher concerns about document format conversion.
By the way, noticed QuickVerse and WordSearch now share a web site, following an acquisition.
