Offline download buttons missing
I am missing the offline download button for many Bibles (ESV, NLT, etc. ) on my phone app. I previously downloaded these on my tablet. Any ideas?

Just how do you propose to download something when you are offline?

To rephrase, "download button for offline viewing".

Hello Triskal,
When the phone is connected to the internet, and you tap the "i" to the right of the ESV in the LIbrary panel do you not see a Download button on the right? What version of the app are you using? You can check by tapping the Menu button at the bottom, "More", and "About".

The button does not appear for some Bibles. 1.1.2 build 42

Does your device have an internet connection when you go to the information panel for the ESV and the Download button is missing?

Yes. I can download many items, but some like these Bibles do not include the option to download.

If these had previously been downloaded (your first post) then it appears that updating to Logos 1.1.2 caused the app to remove them (which happens for some other users). Unless the developers have a better idea it looks like you will have to delete the cache** and re-logon to the app in order to see the download button.
** go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and select Logos and tap "Clear cache"

Thanks for the idea. However, they were previously downloaded on a tablet as well as an old phone. On my new phone this is the first time to download. If it makes any difference, I am using the Google Play version, not the website download.

Do you have a download option for the KJV?

Yes, but its not high on my list of preferred Bibles.

The Google Play version and the direct website download are currently the same. Thanks for using the Google play version. [:)]
It's possible that your library did not finish it's initial update before you attempted to download resources. On the library page press menu, then the "update" option to force a library update. You should notice a little swirling circle in the upper right hand corner while it's downloading any changes related to your library. Once this completes please check again if you have the option to download.

I am having the same problem. I new to Logos. I tried all the directions above, and have only seen a download button on the King James Bible...nothing else. Even the ESV that you suggested above. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are really new to Logos and have not purchased any resources the free ones you have access to cannot be downloaded.

An uninstall and reinstall fixed the problem.

Signing in to the Bible app with a free account should give you access to download the following books for offline viewing:

Lexham English BibleDevotionals

I have made a purchase, so should I now be able to download more than the three things listed above? I still don't see the option to download anything besides what I purchased and the three above...thanks.

Was that purchase listed as being available on mobile devices? what was it?

I know this is probably a dead thread by now, but for the benefit of anyone in this position who comes across this thread:
This appears to be a known bug with the library items that are visible to free accounts:
http://community.logos.com/forums/t/43916.aspx
The fix suggested is to uninstall and reinstall, and to wait on the login screen for a few minutes (for the list of library items to download), then login.

Hi Joel
Its not a bug, it is not intended that free resource should be downloadable, they are only available when online.
Pease clarify if I have misunderstood you.

Hi Graham,
Sorry, I was not clear. In the context of the thread I linked to, what was happening was that free resources that had then been bought (e.g. person buys the ESV bible), were still not available to download. I had this problem as well (I had bought a base pack after registering for a free account, and couldn't download any of the free resources that were in the base pack, but could download things in the base pack that were not free resources e.g. NIV bible), and came across this thread and the thread I linked to while researching the problem. Since this thread hadn't been resolved, I thought I would link it to the thread that had been resolved.
Hope that clarifies things,
Joel
