Crashing immediately after opening (iPad 2)

I've been using the logos app for an inductive Bible study for the past two weeks and today the app started crashing right after the blue logos welcome screen. I force closed the app, restarted the iPad and I was able to get the app to stay open by jumping to the library. I can then navigate through other books, but when I return to the NASB translation the crashing starts again -- upon repeating this process a few times, it seems that everything is fine unless I try  to land anywhere between Genesis 16-22, which is where i was taking notes and highlighting yesterday.

Any way to fix this without losing two weeks of hard-fought notes (I'm a stay-at-home-mom with three children under 4)?

I am both new to logos and to my iPad, so please speak slowly :).

    Hi Megan:

I'm sorry for the difficulty. Have you downloaded the NASB to the device for use offline?

Hi Megan! Welcome to the forums.

Did you create the notes from the iPad app or from L4? Did you attach the notes to the "selection" or to the "reference"? ["Highlight" notes are ALWAYS by "selection" only].

Do you know how to find the note file from within L4 on your computer? (Is it Mac or PC?)

I'm not sure -- how do I tell if it is downloaded to the device?

I don't know what L4 is. I downloaded the app, opened NASB from the library and started highlighting and note-taking. I'm pretty sure I attached the notes to the selection. I have a Windows 7 laptop but I haven't ever used Logos on it.

You would know if you downloaded it. To download a resource, click on the "download" button in the resource information panel. [To get to this panel, click on the little "i" icon).

L4 is Logos 4, the desktop app for PC and Mac. I take it that you do not own an L4 base package then? Do you actually own any resources, or are you just using the free app?

The mobile app is nice, but L4 (PC / Mac) is the primary app. There are many things that cannot be done from within the mobile app. For example, if I were having the troubles with notes & highlighting that you described, I would go to L4 and look at the note file and see if anything looked amiss. You can't do this on the mobile app.

    Hi Megan:

You don't need to say what email it is you are using here, but is the email address you use for your Logos.com account linked to the forums the same as you used to sign in to the iOS app? The reason I'm asking is because I'm not seeing any sync items in the account and if you were online after making notes or highlights, or during that time, I would think I would see sync items.

Thank you for the clarification! I don't really want to use Logos on my PC because I do almost all of my studying over at the YMCA while my children are in Child Watch -- the iPad is much easier to use on the go (and since I just got my new toy after waiting for two years, I rather enjoy using it :). But I just downloaded the PC app so my iPad notes have something to sync too (yes, I use the same e-mail address for my account, the forums, and the iPad).

The problem seems to be solved now that I've purchased the NASB and downloaded it. Thank you for telling me how to go about doing that :). I'm glad I can continue telling people how helpful Logos has been -- it seems like almost all the ladies in my two study groups have iPads now, and my dad was excited to find out that Logos has a free app for the iPad (he's used the Logos software for years but didn't realize he could use it through his iOs devices now).
