NIV Formatting Error?
Strange results when reading NIV on iPad (and reproduces on iPhone). At selected text size and auto columns, I generally have 2 columns. Twice now when swiping to the next page however, the display switches to 1 column. Realized when reading Ezra 1-2 that there are numbers (counts) missing on the right side of display. I'm attaching a picture to illustrate.
Wasn't sure if counts were missing from text or if this is a bug/formatting error. Looked at passage in Logos 4 PC, and the numbers are there, with the caveat that I suddenly have a left/right scroll bar in the window (at any size) and have to scroll to the right to see the numbers.
Can anybody reproduce, and what is the solution?
Thanks,
Stuart

The reason this happens (moving from more columns to fewer columns) is generally because there is some formatting issue which prevents the additional columns. In this case, the NIV's title of chapter two: "The List of the Exiles Who Returned" is wider than the columns you had set. Since the title can't fit in the multiple columns, it moves to a single column. This is true not only on the mobile app, but from within L4 as well. It is more noticeable on the mobile app due to the smaller screen space.

More importantly — what about the missing numbers?

The display gets wider and shorter. Seriously, no change; numbers are still omitted. The numbers are there in the pc desktop app, but I have to scroll to the right?

I have an iPa2 and Ezra 2, NIV84, displays counts correctly in both portrait and landscape modes. I have 2 columns selected but only see one column for this chapter.

Thanks Bill. The NIV 1984 works fine on mine too. It's the 2011 version giving me problems.

Hi Stuart
I was reading this passage in Ezra on the NIV the other day and spotted this layout issue.
I reported it to Logos who tell me it will be fixed in a forthcoming update.
