- Parasha (1 year cycle, 7 aliyot, maftir torah)
- Parasha (3 year cycle, 7 aliyot, maftir torah)
- Waiting to receive information - midweek Torahs
- Haftarah for 1 year cycle (Ashkenazic, Shephardic, Italian, Yemenite, Karaite)
- Still deciding on including use of Tehillim
- Still searching for non-copyrighted Messianic Jewish readings (or permission to use)
- Have permission to present the Gospels paralleled to Parasha from a scholar who suspects that the Gospels were written with the Jewish reading cycle in mind
I am the Torah reader for a Messianic Congregation. Is there any plan to include a reading schedule to coincide with the weekly Parasha?
I'm close to finished with a spreadsheet of data that Logos may use if they want. It contains:
Anything you think I'm missing? Yes, I know I can't include every possible permuation but I am trying to be useful to a wide swath.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
Is is already in some other form that might be made available to other MJ Congs?
The non-bold items and the under-copyright Messianic readings are in Excel but not proof-read. I'm am also working on some historical Lutheran lections with morning/evening prayer readings. As to when they will be available, I don't know. Logos 4 do not currently provide for user generated data and, as you may have seen, Logos has expressed an interest. We simply have to wait and see how timing works out. Logos has committed to a fair amount of added features in the first 2 quarters of next year.

One thing you want to add is the special reading for holidays.
You are absolutely correct; I don't know why it didn't occur to me when I made the original list. I do have much of the material for it.

Wow! That sounds interesting! Do you have anything more on this while we wait for Logos? A web link? A book title? Or at least the scholar's name?

Is there a reason you would not wish to use the traditional parasha? Here is a site which has a listing

If you are looking for NT readings to coincide with the parasha, I would suggest checking a lectionary to see what is used with them. Unfortunately, it appears that today's reading is Ex 27.20-30.10 which doesn't seem to appear in either the Catholic Lectionary or the RCL. In such cases it may be necessary to supply your own gospel and other readings to go with the Torah readings such as Mt 5.13-16. For the robes in this passage it might be appropriate to read something like Re 3.14-22.

Paul,
Make contact with Phil Gons - pgons (at) logos.com. He should be able to put you in contact with someone to help organise such a lectionary...
Damian,
How do I contact him?
That was his email address - disguised to stop spammers scraping the site:

thanks, I should have figured that out.
