Android Suite 2.0 Beta 1 Released
The Android team is pleased to announce the first beta release of the 2.0 version of the Bible, Biblia, Vyrso, and FSB Android apps.
We appreciate your support helping test out this initial beta release. If you discover any issues please create a new post and include the following info:
Description – How were you using the app when the crash occurred.
App Info – Which app you are using. (Bible, Biblia, Faithlife Study Bible, Vyrso)
Device Info – (Google Nexus 7, Motorola Triumph, Droid Bionic)
Android Version – (2.2, 2.3, 3.x, 4.0, 4.1)
To install or upgrade the app choose the appropriate link from the download list.

Whenever I attempt to view a Bible section where I know I have highlights and notes the Bible text appears and then continues to load for a while but eventually kicks the Bible app back to the homepage. Attached are two logcat files. The earlier of the two is directly after app install/upgrade. After the first attempt I cleared data and cache and tried again and still had the same issue.

Using the Bible app on both my HTC Rezound running ICS and my HP Touch pad running CM9 I do not see any highlighting from the desktop sync.

love the home page!!!! Iwas just about to give up on the androidfor the other guy but not now!!!! any chance that the ability to highlight and not just see it will be in the final. release? BTW what is with the name change to "Bible"?

forgot to add that I am seeing the highlights and the pop up notes when I touch the notes on my tablet. I am running on an eee pad Transformer TF101.

I like the look of this, especially that the news (advertising) is not so front and center now.

I installed Vyrso and Faithlife with no problems, however I cannot get the Bible app to upgrade. When I download it from the link I am getting build 43.apk and after installing it I am still on version 1.1.3. I have the update channel set to beta, but it is not working. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Hi Ryan; I was experiencing the same issue last night at approx. 11:00PM EST. I attempted to download this morning at 7:00AM EST, and was successful in the upgrade. I am thinking that the forum notice of the upgrade was posted before the actual files were on the server. Blessings

Thanks Erwin, at 8:30 am EST I am still experiencing the issue. I live in Paraguay, so maybe that has something to so with it. I will just keep checking back throughout the day. Thanks!

Installation went well on my Kindle Fire.
Took a little time to sync up all data. But it is working great.

Ryan are you running on a phone or a tablet? I have ice cream with the latest update, and what I had to do was once it downloaded click on the download arrow then ask it to install. Also if you do not have your setting set to allow third party software installation it will not install.

I got it to work. I had to play around with the url manually to force it to go to the proper file. It was a bit frustrating, but I got it! Thanks for your help!

I installed all of the english files on both my tab and my phone. My phone seems to be working fine, but my tab is having problems.When I install Vryso it keeps giving me build 31, even though it says it will install the new 2.0 version. When install the latest version of Bible/Faithlife it seems to work okay except it does not show my favorites.
I am using a LePan TC970 version 2.2

Strange thing is, I can not find the new file on my phone. I see the new formay but not the file.

So things that I've hidden on my desktop version is also hidden on the Android app. When did this happen?! It great news and makes the library much more manageable.

John, Thanks for the logs they will be extremely helpful in resolving the issue. We will be sure to address it in the next beta release. I'd be curious to know if turning off notes (Click on the gear icon, Settings, Show notes) avoids the crash.

Sorry for the initial difficulties. I posted the forum announcement after updating the apk's and verifying that the versions being downloaded were the correct ones. It's possible that it takes some time before the downloads are replicated and available to everyone.

Not sure what you mean by rooted?
I only have the beta version installed. So I just installed from the link provided and the newest beta version just replaced the last beta version.it took about 10 or 12 minutes to say sync up all my data.

Hi Ryan; Gabe has appropriately gave us an answer as to why the issue occurred. I have a feeling it was due to something like that. :-)

The Vyrso App installed fine, but, as some others have experienced, the links for the Logos Bible app keep giving me the wrong build (Logos-43.apk). I tried to install it last night and have continued trying periodically throughout the day. That said, the new features look good so far! Thanks for your work.

Most likely your page is just cached. Try pressing Ctrl+F5 on the page to refresh the link.

Thanks for the reply. I actually tried that a number of times previously without any luck. However, I am happy to say that I got the right build a little while ago. It just seems to have worked at last.

I don't have a menu key when I am actually reading a book, in split screen or just one screen.

My note in highlights didn't appear until I switch to lowlight viewing. When I switch back to regular viewing they were still there.
