German Bibles
I bought Logos for my College (because it is mandatory).
Since my native language is German I know realized that there are no german bibles.
I coudln't believe it. I just paid several hundred dollars and then there isn't even the option of purchasing a German Bible. I actually expected the most common German Bibles to be in the package.But no...
Wow... I still can't believe it. That's more than disappointing.
Does anybody know whether Logos is gonna change that? Add more bibles?

As a native German user of Logos, your thread caught my attention immediately, as you may imagine. I do have a number of German language bibles in Logos - maybe you looked at the wrong places? These are the ones I currently have:
Since we are in the biblia.com forum, may I first note that Luther 1912 and Luther 1545 are in the free selection of resources that anyone can access at biblia even without investing one dollar (simply sign out of biblia.com to check).
These two resources are available for individual purchase (Luther 1912 for USD 10) as well as Luther 1984 and "Die gute Nachricht".
There used to be a number of additional bibles in the SESB package which I own (and which you may still get from third parties or maybe even the German Bible Society on CD-ROM) - such as Einheitsubersetzung, Elberfelder, Zurcher and Buber/Rosenzweig. More bibles were available on a CD-ROM separately, which I don't own. Unfortunately, Logos decided to no longer carry the SESB in its original configuration (maybe the licences didn't allow for downloads). If you can get hold of any of these: the resources are for Libronix - the predecessor of Logos 4 - but the files are compatible and will work in Logos.
Logos now have a GBS bundle which includes Luther 84, Gute Nachricht and the Menge bible.

I did indeed see the Luther 1912 and 1545 for free, but I am searching for newer bible translations.I checked the SESB package and in general I think this would be sufficient, but actually I can't afford that much money to get a few german bible translations and lots of other stuff which I don't even need. (Since I just purchased Logos!!) And that's the same for the GBS bundle, it's really expensive for what I need. I have access to all bible translations online through for example www.bibleserver.com but I thought and expected Logos to have German Bibles included. I still can't believe that there isn't even the option by Logos to purchase German Bible translations one by one.
All in all, I am searching for nothing more than these few Bible Translations: Luther 84, Elberfelder, Schlachter, NGÜ, Gute Nachricht.

I very recently purchased Gute Nachricht from Logos. Was disappointed at the price since they've been selling Bibles at $10.00. Probably should have talked to a sales rep. Price is 29.00 U.S.
Anyway, according to Logos.com ....... Gute Nachricht can be used on the iPad, iPod, and other mobile applications... Also, I did not check to see if the whole Apocrypha was included; but some of it is included......

two of these are available as single products - I had linked the Luther 84 and the Gute Nachricht product pages and are doing this now again (if you're using a strange browser that doesn't show it: the words "Luther 84" and "Gute Nachricht" are active links, click on them and the respective product page will open where you can buy).
Elberfelder was part of the SESB but never available as a standalone product - it also is not part of the current GBS bundle. I think this is because the German Bible Society is not the holder of the licence, the publishing house that owns it currently tries to push the Glo-bible thing and maybe they do not wish to work with Logos. But since Elberfelder is a finished product, maybe they can be talked into making it available. Schlachter and NGÜ again belong to different lincence holders and never were available as Logos resources.
In a thread in the German SESB user forum someone from GBS at least gave some hope that maybe the NGÜ may become such in the future, when it is finished (currently only NT and Psalms are available, where GBS doesn't hold the licence, but to facilitate OT development the project has been moved to GBS).
If you can get access to any of the texts in Word format (*.docx), you may be able to produce your own Logos bible resource from this as a Personal Book.
