Why no 'Follow' link or Link Set on Notes Panels?

Here's the drop down in my Power Lookup Panel (it has 'Follow' highlighted)-

Now, here's the same drop down in one of my many Notes files (it has no 'Follow' option)-

Why not? I really need the notes window to follow my bible selection just like Power Lookup does. There's no Link Set at all, and it is really needed here. Anybody know a fix, or know if this has been suggested to Logos?

Once you have opened the desired notes, just select your text or reference and tell it to post a note to that particular note.

I think I would now prefer them to be at bottom of text like the inline footnotes are, but thats where my thoughs are heading..

I think he means if you have a note on John 3.16, and that is your active verse, that notes related to that verse would be displayed automatically. this would be well cool, especially as we have loads of notes documents now

Possibly there are no links due to that notes can be added to most any book type. Not just Bibles or commentaries. Therefore linking would have to guess which link method to use (Bible, Headword, Greek/Hebrew Strong's number, etc).

Since you could add notes for each of these book types to the same Note file, it would be interesting to code that.

Hadn't thought about that problem...

Perhaps they could start by make linking work when the note file is sorted by reference? Then the notes should be in the same order as in the book, shouldn't they? Plus that's the kind of note file you're most likely to want to link anyway.

Other sorting orders would be considerably more complicated, I imagine, and I don't know if there's any real need to be able to link them.

Go vote for Rework notes function - in one or multiple phases, which includes "add linkset functionality to notes".
