Hi All,
After searching the forums I found out how to add scripture reference links in notes. Is there a way to have the fly out display 2 bible translations in the fly out.
Something like this: logosres:esv;ref=BibleESV.Ac7.18 logosres:hcsb;ref=BibleHCSB.Ac7.18
Thanks,
gj

AFAIK L4 will only display you selected "Preferred Bible"

I thought I could figure out a way to do this, provided one of the two is your preferred Bible, but it didn't work as expected. If I find the time I'll write a post asking Logos why, but it would require a bit more investigating first, which I don't have the time for right now.
What you can do is type Acts 7:18 in the note, and then link Acts to one translation and 7:18 to the other. Or type Acts 7:18 (ESV,HCSB) and link the abbreviations instead of the actual reference.
I also hope you're aware that if you're linking to your preferred Bible you don't need to use links like those in the quote. You can just type the reference in the little box. But be aware that such links will change if you change your preferred Bible, something that's normally desirable, but not if you're hovering over the word ESV or HCSB.
I still find it very odd that RefTagger works great to auto find, link & popup all Scriptures references on my website & blogs...
And yet Logos still can't get this to work on their own software for my notes on the Mac. LOL
just odd... [:P]
Thanks for your responses.
Just typing a reference into a note does not create a link for me. Does it need to be in a certain format?
Last time I checked, L4 Mac required manual linking for Scripture links

No, it will display any bible you choose to link with. Sometimes I use BHS 4.2 or NA27 or NRSV or JPS Tanak. I've also used the RSV on occasion. Just input the bible you wish to link with when you do a <ctrl-K> (If you don't actually enter a bible, I think it will automatically link to your preferred as you stated).
Interesting! Did not know that. Thanks for the information. Guess I need to take the advice I gave in another thread and finish reading Steve Clark's Wiki article [8-|]

the key words are "the little box". Type the reference in the note, select it, click the hyperlink (chain) icon, and type the reference again in the little box that appears. That will create a link to your preferred Bible. (Or, to speed it up: select, hit Cmd-C, click the hyperlink icon, hit Cmd-V, and then Enter.)
Automatic hyperlinking will come at some point, but they've said that there's something with the Mac OS that makes it a lot harder to implement than on Windows. If you've got a PC as well you can make your notes there with automatic linking, and they will sync over to Mac.

Funny, for me (and the OP, if I interpret him correctly) it was the other way around. I read so much about automatic linking not working that I assumed the only way to link was by using Cmd-Opt-C (or URL under the icon) in the resource, and then pasting that full link in the hyperlink box. Consequently all my early Bible links go to a specific Bible. It was months, perhaps a full year, before I figured out that typing or pasting the reference in the hyperlink box worked. Much faster!
Thanks for all of the responses. I did not realize putting the reference in the link box created a link. I was typing or ctl-cmd-c for a link. Entering the reference in the link box is much faster.
Well ...
It's almost the end of 2012 and L5 has been released [and I am now a Mac user and loving it ].
I'm surprised that the scripture references in my NOTES are working only part of the time. The notes I made on my PC seem to have transferred onto the Mac. But as I type references into notes on the Mac, they do not light up in that beautiful blue color that signifies that a hyper-text link has been created.
Any clues as to when this functionality might be added ??? Other than this, I really don't see (yet) any other features missing (other than Visual Filters for Hebrew bibles) as I switch over from PC to Mac.

To recap other threads on this topic (e.g., in the Logos 4 Mac forums), we will be replacing the platform-specific notes editors on Windows and Mac with our own custom editor. Not only should this improve performance, it'll bring the same editing experience to both platforms. Unfortunately, writing our own editor (instead of just using the one built into the OS) is a time-consuming process, and we also want to take the time to ensure that it's 100% compatible with the millions of notes customers have already taken in the software using the old editors. So, it's coming, but I can't give a date.
Wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_and_PC_User_Interface_Differences#Feature_Parity that includes:
PC Notes can automatically hyperlink scripture in notes while hyperlink can be manually added on Mac

Logos 5 has Logos Hebrew Morphology tagging in a number of resources so visual filter(s) need modification.
