    Got them installed.

It does appear to be a touch faster.  I'll play some more and see what happens.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

This update seems to have fixed my problem of having most of my notes in the Bible app come up as "not available."  Thanks!

I'm using the app on Toshiba Thrive with Android version 3.2

I use a Kindle Fire.  I received a notice that Logos had an update to version 2.07.  However, when I tapped the notice, I was informed it could not update since I had parental controls enabled.  I disabled parental controls but the notice had disappeared.  I presume I will get another notice tomorrow while I have parental controls disabled.

This is the first time a Logos update required this.  Other app updates do not require it.  Evidently, Logos updates now require direct access to the web, not just indirect access through a network.

Anyway, others using the Kindle Fire should turn off parental controls when we see an update announced in this Forum.

screen remains on permanently when logos for android is being used. This has been present since the 2.0 beta for android was launched, despite screenbacklight being set to turn off after a specficed period of 30 seconds

logos 2.0 for android is great overall, the latest update to 2.0.7 hung 3 times during a 45 minute period while I was referring to it while listening to a sermon, generally seems less stable than previous versions!

If one owns the Kindle Fire and receives the Logos update notice, just clear the notice.  The Parental Controls can remain on.  The Amazon store will update it with those controls on and just give a notice it took place without any user intervention.

The notice requiring parental controls to be turned off is for the direct update from the Logos site and also requires permission to allow installation of applications outside the Amazon store.

How can I remove the book mark I have made?

Try a long press as a menu should appear.

I've a nexus 7. Last week the app was so slow it was unusable. The update has certainly fixed the speed issue its great. I now find that when I try to tap for a new reference that sometimes the library service rent appears it seems to be random and if you can help me with just where I have to tap to get it right every time it would be appreciated.

Ditto on that question.  I love my new Kindle Fire and love the Logos app.  But I'd love it all the more if we could get Amazon to release more updates.

Version 2.0.6 is available on the Amazon App Store right now, and 2.0.7 should be available soon. We've released the updates, they're just waiting for Amazon's approval.  (Amazon has an approval process, similar to Apple, which delays release. That's why Google Play always gets the apps first)

For some reason my Kindle isn't allowing me to get updates.  It never installs them after downloading them.  My Logos program shows it as Version 1.1.3.2.  Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.  I do have the "Unknown Sources" option allowed so that's not the problem.

    Any suggestions?

From the Main Screen go to Apps \ Store \ Menu \ Settings.

There you will see your version #.  Mine is 2.50.08.  Tap Automatic Updates and check "Enable Automatic Updates" and "Notify Me When Updates Are Installed."

Then the Amazon App Store will update Logos automatically within 7 days of its release on the Amazon Store which just happened today.

If you want faster Logos updates, within the Logos Android App go to Menu \ More \ About.  On the bottom of that screen you will see the Update Channel.  Enter "stable" (the default) or "beta".

Then from the main Kindle screen go to Settings \ More \ Parental Controls and disable them.  On the same screen go to Device and turn on "Allow Installation of Applications".   Then you can update Logos when you get a notification on the main screen or at the Logos "About" screen.

The confusion here is that we get a notification that Logos has an update and try to tap on it.  It won't work unless we have the Kindle settings properly set.  Just clear that notice if you would prefer to wait for the Amazon update for Logos.  To see if you missed the Amazon Logos update, from the main screen go Apps \ Store \ Menu \ App Updates and you will see the Logos app available for update if Amazon has sent it.  My screen does not yet show the Amazon release even though it shows on the Logos Android page at the Amazon store.

David Schwebler, what is the purpose of Biblia, if one has Bible, Vyrso or Faithlife? Who is the targeted audience? On which devices? Will it work on Blackberry?

Mission: To serve God as He desires.

Unfortunately on both my Nexus 7 and Galaxy S3, I get constant crashes. Last night in service was trying to follow scripture references from the lesson but Logos crashed 3 times and I just gave up and just used another Bible program I have installed. Just now I tried again and changing pages caused it to crash. For the record, I always have two panes open - 1 to a Bible (normally the Reina-Valera 60) and 1 to a commentary (Bible Knowledge Commentary). Initially I thought it was only doing it on pages where I have highlights, but last night it did it on pages where I don't have any highlighting. Needless to say, this is very frustrating and makes this latest version practically unusable for me.

    Hi Donald,

This was a problem for many users in the 2.0.7 release, and we released a fix just now. Please update to the latest version (2.0.8), and let me know if the problem is still there.

    Thank you for your patience!

    Hi Lynden,

Biblia is an app which is very similar to the Bible app, but is targeted at our Spanish audience. For example, it offers Spanish Bibles by default, and always runs in a Spanish locale, even if the rest of the device is running in an English locale.

I thought that version was the Kindle version.  Is that the same as the Logos version?  In the settings you mentioned above I've got version 2.50.68.  But when I go to my actual Logos program settings I'm still seeing version 1.1.3.2 instead of anything close to 2.0.7.

As I said, I'm new to the entire android market.  This Kindle Fire is the first I've ever owned and maybe I'm completely misunderstanding how this all works.  Sorry if I'm confused about what I should and shouldn't be expecting from the Logos Amazon app for the Kindle.

For the record, I had everything set up as you instructed, Sir Maru.  But I double-checked to make sure.  Thanks for such detailed instructions.  Having said that, I'm still sitting at that 1.1.3.2.
