Lexham High Definition NT - Visual Filters

Please forgive what might be a basic question, since my experience of creating visual filters is very limited!

Is it possible to create a visual filter for use in the Lexham HD NT that highlights, for example, just those lines of text which are marked as a "Principle" (or "Elaboration" etc.)?

Hi Paul

Yes you can do this.

If you run a Basic Search against the HD NT for "Principle" for example you will find all occurrences of that word. From within the search panel, click on "Make Filter" and choose the formatting options you want from the dropdown box on the right of the Visual Filter panel.

This should give you what you need - if not, please post back

(If you word "Principle" occurs in the text you will get a hit there as well but hopefully that's not too big a problem!)

If you don't know what word to use in the discourse search, you can right-click on the discourse symbol, then select the 'discourse' category in the right-menu and search this resource ... then follow Graham's remaining sequence.

A visual filter can use abbreviation HDNT when searching in the High Definition New Testament.

Personally have visual filters for emphasis and backgrounding, which can be combined with more visual filters in the LDGNT:

KS4J ... that's a VERY good idea! (grouping the types and highlighting them)

One thing I've noticed, though using the ESV HD is a lot of the tags don't make sense (to me) unless I use the greek ordering (ie display only the gloss line of the interlinear). It's bouncy reading though.
