Using Logos offline..
Hi,
I am new to logos bible software, albeit fairly conversant with bible apps in general as I have quite a few of them to date. Recently, I downloaded the logos app and was pleased with some of its features . Sadly, though, when I took it to church one evening, I was surprised to discover it wouldn't let me do even as little as read the scriptures offline. Given the fact that I'm used to reading bibles apps offline, this is of great concern to me.
I have scoured this forum to see if there's an existing answer/solution but there isn't. I did see one or two related posts about offline mode issues but my challenge here is that I don't even know how to get to use the offline mode let alone have issues using the mode ( offline).
Really, I do like the logos app and would appreciate a help with this.
Thanks in advance :-)

Hi again, I have just followed the instruction as shown in the video and it doesn't seem to help out in my case. In the video, it advises that I should go to the library, then type the book I intend to download in the offline version. Next to the book is an arrow which, when clicked on, allows one to turn OFF or ON the offline download option. However, in my iPad, there is no such arrow to start with. Once the book comes up and I select it, it just simply opens it as opposed to linking me to the page where I can download the offline version.
As the video was shown using an iPhone, I was wondering if this could be the reason it's not working on my iPad? OR could it be that I'm using an outdated logos software?

Hi El
From what you say above it sounds as though you might be using some of the free resources available within the Logos app as opposed to ones you have purchased.
If that is so, it explains what you are seeing as the download function is only available for purchased resources.

Ah haaa I see... Didn't know that. Yes, your assumption is correct, Graham. I'm using a free one. That's what i saw when i searched for Bibles in the apple store. Of course, if getting a purchased one will lift off such limitations, then I'll go for it. Right. Away, I go, to the App store :-)
Thanks Graham

Hi El
Sorry, you purchase Logos resources from their website, www.logos.com, not from the Apple store.
Have a look over there and see what you can find. There are lots of choose from!
