Does Logos 4 provide this ability? Is it easy to use? Configurable in terms of word frequency and that sort of thing? Thanks!
David,
Logos intends to do their own vocabulary drill functionality, so you may not need Anki in the future.
Until then, the export is very straight forward. Go to Print/Export and have the vocabulary list export into an Excel spreadsheet. There you can "configure" (e.g. taking out all lines with Count below a certain threshold, re-order or put in additional columns, etc) as you wish and, if necessary, save in a format like *.csv that Anki or any other Vocab app of your choice can import.
Hope this helps,
Mick
Thanks! May I choose vocabulary from a particular passage or book to export?
Sure. Just make your Word List (e.g. I made one from 1 John 1)
File/New Word List will create a new, untitled Word List. One can rename it.
Add - then choose your passage and the source
Then when the list is populated, click on the tile or hit CTRL-P to invoke print/export - sent to a new Excel gives
7345.Word List 1 John 1 from NA27.xlsx
Note: word lists don't yet exist in the current stable version. Unless you're on the beta channel, you'll either need to manually download the new release candidate, or wait until it ships to the stable channel (probably 1-2 weeks, if no major bugs show up).
Ah, yes, I overlooked. Word Lists as I showed above are a feature of Logos version 4.6
David, I'm running 4.6 RC1 (which is considered a stable version, but will not be auto-installed over an 4.5 version). To get it, see http://community.logos.com/forums/p/53792/392121.aspx#392121
Update: JFTR, 4.6 has been shipped (maybe a record-fast from Release Candidate to "Gold") and the feature discussed above is now standard-L4.
