Installing Logos 4 on MacBook Air

Downloaded the version of Logos 4 that is available on the web. Is useless and crashes when I tried to select a Bible version. Went ahead and purchased the Bible Study version - turned out to be an older version and it does the exactly same thing - no functionality and crashes when I select a Bible version. Don't think teh software ever actually installed. Does anyone know how to get Logos 4 installed on a MacBook Air? What is indexing and how do I get it going?

I am not sure what you mean by "available on the web." Do you mean from the Logos site? The correct link is HERE.

I am a bit confused… where did you purchase Logos? From the company itself? If so, it should not be an "older version" (unless you had downloaded a beta version).

Does anyone know how to get Logos 4 installed on a MacBook Air?

What is indexing and how do I get it going?

Indexing is the process Logos uses to help your searches find what you are looking for. Indexing SHOULD happen automatically, but occasionally there are problems. You can use the command Rebuild Index.

If you have more problems, we might need logs. Let us know and someone can walk you through it. [:)]

Appreciate the tips but still no joy. The Home Page that loads does not appear to do anything but crash when it tried to access data that never loaded. The Help menu is also almost blank and none of the links work. Even tried clearing out all the downloaded versions and re-installed off disk I purchased directly from LOGOS. Then it says that my version is old and needs to be upgraded. Clicked on link and it takes me to the same page with the bad software. Downloaded and just another copy of the same bad software that will not install correctly. Have a request into LOGOS. If they can not fix it I will just have to return it and opt for another provider. The LOGOS product is really taking away from my Bible study time and I need to teach at Church in a couple weeks, had hoped to teach a session on how to use LOGOS to study the Word. We just installed a large screen with Apple TY so we can teach from the podium to a large group using a Notebook. Any suggestions?

I would call Logos at your earliest convenience. They should be able to help you out over the phone. Waiting for a return email would be a mistake… [:S] Let us know how it goes.

Got hold of Logos. Turns out that the install software never asked for the unlock code, so it did not get to the point of installing the libraries. They had to put the code in on their end. Then after a few tweaks to the files the libraries loaded and now it is indexing. Will see how well it works in the morning. Thank you for your pointers and help.
