Using Android App is Painful

... now that the Logos Bible 3.0 app is out for iOS. I played with it and then went back to my Nexus 7 Tablet and wow, it is a huge step backward. The new iOS app looks great and has some nice features but Android gets less love. I know you guys are working to catch up, but this is frustrating.

As a user of both, I think the powers at Logos should put the breaks on iOS till Android catches up. Then we can all move forward in the same direction at the same time.

I had the same feelings Kevin after downloading the updated app on my iPad.

    +1 [Y]

This whole thing kind of irks me.

I say this with the understanding that right now there are likely more Logos IOS users than Android ones.

But here are the facts: There are now almost twice as many Android smart phones in the world's hands as there are IOS ones. And the current sales numbers show that Android is out selling IOS four to one. But if one does a search for Android market share, you get mostly things like these:

    • IOS is still the go-to phone
    • Why the sales of Android don't matter
    • Android sales are flattening

As well as with tablets, with the current inroads of Amazon, Nook, and the Nexus 7, Android tablet share is now up to 50% of IOS and continues to climb. But again, if you do a search you get:

    • Android is stalling
    • The iPad will never be overtaken
    • Why Android tablets will not win
This insensible devotion to Apple in the tech world bothers me, I just hope that Logos does not buy into this false paradigm and continue to let the Android app lag behind.
