How do I study Hope?
Or how can I use the Android app to study any subject or topic? On the desktop app, searching for a topic brings up a "Topics" tab with a list of dictionaries and topical textbooks which is exactly what I'm looking for. I can't get the same results in the Android app. It will give me a long list of occurrences of that word in every resource, but that is a lot of information to scroll through to find an appropriate resource. I can go directly to the resources I want to look at, but then it's more painful: I have to search each one individually instead of having it all right there in a neat list.
This need has come up many many times already in the short while that I've been using the app (mostly in bible study and sunday school settings or even casual conversations where you just want to find something on a topic real quick), but I can't find a way to do it easily? Seems like something that should be there, but that I keep overlooking somehow.
What is the best way to do it? Did I miss the functionality or is it not yet implemented? Is there a good workaround?

There's no topic searching on any mobile devices yet.
I suggest that you open up a favorite bible dictionary or a topical bible (like New Nave's Topical Bible) directly, and then use the table of contents for that resource to find your topic. Adding those resources as a favorite would make for quicker access.

I tried the word studies too. Unfortunately, they were less helpful than I hoped. For ex, Heb 11:1, pulling a word study on "Faith" gives a couple defs from Louw-Nida and DBL Greek, gives the translation wheel, and example uses. If I go directly to the Bible Word Study Guid off of the Search tab, it's even less helpful, with a Merriam-Webster def, and translation wheels. No other dictionaries or topical guides, etc.
A topic search would be an awesome, indispensable tool for interactive study classes, conversations, or anywhere where you just don't know ahead of time what your studying, no scrip refs to work from, or topics to advance study, etc.
I guess the good thing is that I will be much more motivated to become familiar with the resources available in my library since I have to search through each one individually.

The Merriam-Webster shows up because it's searching based on the English word faith. You want to try re-running it, the word should search for pistos instead of faith. Does the translation you used have a Reverse Interlinear? Try switching translations and redoing the Bible Word Study.

Thanks, but I think I didn't explain it well. I was describing two approaches to the word study. You are correct that long pressing a word in the bible brings up a bit more info and relevant defs.
The other approach i was describing was going to the search tab and paging over the Passage Guide & Word Study. Doing the word study that way resulted in the Merriam-Webster result.
Neither way, unfortunately, gives me what I want: Links to the entry on "Faith" in EDB, ISBE, New Topical Textbook, Nave's, etc. For that, I still have to do the work manually.
