Creating single word per line Bible verse copy format

I am a somewhat new Logos user. I would like to copy verses from Greek/ Hebrew for my exegetical studies in a format that only has one word per line. I would like to parse, define, and make comments on each word in the copied verse (probably in Microsoft Word- but I could also do it in a Logos note if that is possible), that is why I only want one word per line. I saw the option in the "copy Bible verses" tool to "create a new style", but I don't know how to create a style that has only one word per line in the copied text. It seems to me that many people probably would use something like this for their exegesis. Currently I copy and paste it and then go to the copied text and push enter after every word in the text. It seems to me that there should be a less time consuming method for me to do this, but since I am sort of a newbie I have no idea how to better make a worksheet for my Exegesis.. thank you

I guess what you're really wanting is a simplified Exegetical Guide (since that's about what the guide does; just sticks a bunch of stuff for each word)? Of course you might be wanting english etc.

The usual way I do what you're talking about in general is to paste into a text editor, narrow the margins badly and then re-copy (requires a text editor that assumes no-wrap in the copy).

In the copy Bible Verses tool... there is an option to create my own custom format. The following code is what comes up. My question is, is there something I can put in the code that would copy the verses the way I want them copied, one word per line.

Just responding to your question, I don't see anything that your list that would work. You need a 2-character carriage return or something that would work in a similar way for each word. I don't know if you code; inserting a carriage return into clipboard text is fairly straightforward.

I don't know how to create a style that has only one word per line in the copied text.

Sorry, there's currently no way to create a CBV style that has one word per line.

WORK A ROUND

In word you most likely have your main file open [project file] – the one you want the verses in-- in the format of one word per line

Open a second document and fill it with empty lines (you only need about 7, three before the paste point and three after [so you will have some blank lines before and after the procedure]) [Refer to this as TEMP or DUMMY – it is only a work file and not your project file – you do not need to save it]

In LOGOS copy the verses wanted

Move to that temp / dummy open file

In the middle line [the one with three lines before and three lines after] paste your verses

Highlight the verses
Open the REPLACE box in Word
In the ‘find what’ enter a single space [‘ ‘ without the ‘’]
In the ‘replace with’ [gets a bit more complex]
Open MORE
Open Special
Select PARAGRAPH MARK
Tap the REPLACE ALL
It will ask if you want to do more – select no and close the replace box

Done – and, as long as you do not do any other replacing, next time you just need to highlight the verses, open the replace box and select replace all [This could also be stored as a macro for future use]

Then highlight the now one word per line verse and copy it to the real project file

The reason for the TEMP / DUMMY file is so that if you make a mistake [or if I did not explain this procedure correctly] your project file will not be disrupted]
