footnotes format

Is there a way to include the author and title of the article within a footnote citation? For example, when I copy and paste a few sentences from a Logos resource into a Word document, the footnote will include the publication info and the page number, but not the author or the title of the article (e.g. a journal article) it came from.

Here's what it says: vol.
1, Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal
Volume 1 (Detroit: Detroit Baptist Seminary, 1996), 49.

Here's what I want it to say: William Combs, "Erasmus and the Textus Receptus," vol.
1, Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal
Volume 1 (Detroit: Detroit Baptist Seminary, 1996), 49.

Is this for a PB? If so, you can create the footnote, copy the citation information by clicking on the circled "i" on the resource, copying the citation information and pasting it into your footnote. You may need to change the information slightly to conform to whatever you want in the citation.

Looks to me like the citation information accessible under the circled "i" is about the same as what comes up automatically when I copy and paste into a document. No author or title info comes up.

Yeah, but you're not using the same resource. The OP was using a journal. I haven't used citation much yet, but from what I understand things like journals and encyclopedias only show author and article heading if the resource has been tagged with those fields, and the older ones weren't. They're working on updating them, but it takes time getting through them all, and they've prioritized the most used ones like BDAG and AYBD. They'll get to the journals eventually.

He's correct that no author and title info appears, but that can be added quite easily.

The problem is that not all journal-type resources have been tagged at the article level for the citations you want. This is true of many journals, only some of the newer ones having been updated to accommodate this need. I don't have any knowledge of the Detroit Baptist Seminary Journals, but would assume they fall in the same category as those other journals.

For now, your only option is to manually add the information you want/need/require. Sorry.

I guess that's true about the newer journals having the info available. Here's a citation that comes up automatically when I copied and pasted from a recent (2010) journal article:

Thomas C. Oden,
"A Libyan History Awaiting Discovery" In , in , vol. 167, Bibliotheca Sacra Volume 167, 665
(Dallas, TX: Dallas Theological Seminary, 2010), 6-7.

Looks pretty good, except the "In , in ," bits after the title of the article.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until they index or fix (or whatever they do) the older journals. Thanks for your help.
