In doing a simple Bible search I can choose "top Bibles" or a single version. How do I est. the 4-5 Bible Versions I want to search as opposed to a few of the "top Bibles" I may not want?
Thanks
Hi Mike - and welcome to the forums
How do I est. the 4-5 Bible Versions I want to search as opposed to a few of the "top Bibles" I may not want?
You could create a collection of the Bibles you want - see http://wiki.logos.com/Collections for details
Alternatively, you could tag the ones you want and search against the tag (it should appear in the dropdown menu) - see http://wiki.logos.com/Tagging for details
Hope this helps
Graham
Thanks Graham I will check this out and do some customizing!!
Mike, have you prioritized your Bibles in the library? This will affect the "Top Bibles" that show in your search.
Yes i was able to set my collections and pick my favorite English Translations and then a collection of Greek translations. Thanks
Rick,
Is there a difference between prioritizing my bibles and est. a collection for them?
Mike, there are definite advantages for prioritizing. For one, it will save you a few clicks on doing searches for your preferred Bibles. You can also set up your preferred commentaries, dictionaries, lexicons and so forth. When you prioritize your top 5 Bibles and you do a Bible search, your top 5 prioritized Bibles will be what is included in your top Bibles results.
I highly recommend watching Mark Barnes' video tutorial on searching at: http://www.logos4training.com/videos/searching/In the searching video he explains the Top Bibles portion of a Bible search.
and prioritizing at: http://www.logos4training.com/videos/prioritizing/
In his prioritizing video he shares some very good and valuable information.
