Flat out confusion, quite frankly...

I'm sorry to be sounding negative about this project, because I am not negative at all. I am very positive and I love this concept. I can just see this growing and growing into something very special, but I'm very confused about how this is all laid out on the website.
I've been a Logos user since 1994 and I'm having a hard time, I know for a fact people whom I will refer to this website will be in the dark completely and will just click away. Last night, I watched several videos and I've clicked all over this website and I've found myself more confused the more I click.
In other words, the website doesn't do a good job at all of telling me these things:
- Price of books: If I don't own any books, I understand that the LEB is free, but how much is the KJV. I go to a KJV church, however I would like to note I am not a KJV only person. If FL is going to be successful at our church, it's going to have to come with KJV; I doubt most people will buy into this or any other social geared Bible app when YouVersion is out there like it is, although I'm not supporting YV, I'm "just saying." I tried logging out of my FL account and seeing how much the KJV would be to purchase, but I then have to create a new account, which I don't want to do.
- Subscription: I would pay the subscription right now but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it.
- Groups: I can't figure out for the life of me whether or not the groups are private (like for a Sunday School or a Church) or are there public groups (like a Theology Group, Markan Studies, or whatever)? I've been all over this website and I can't figure that out.
- Of course there's more, I just can't remember it right now.
I just sent a College Age Sunday School teacher to the website a few minutes ago and I haven't heard back yet, but I regret sending him. I should have been there with him, but I wouldn't be able to answer his questions regardless, I don't think.

I assume you mean subscription to FSB, right? It's free until 2014 - why would you want to pay? But even if (e.g. to honor the editors or so), no issue: subscribe by ordering on Faithlifebible.com without a coupon code, the order process will ask for your credit card info (if it doesn't have that already) and may charge you.

Groups show whether they are private or open in the line below their group header. E.g:

The FSB Users group is intended to discuss the Faithlife Study Bible, to share Community Notes in the FSB resources and maybe to give suggestions where the FSB could be enhanced by more/deeper editor's notes.

That still doesn't solve the "where in the world is at" question. I clicked and clicked, signed out, ect and never found it. The KJV has no copyrights and the Logos edition is there's to give away, which they've done for twenty years with packages. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Logos doesn't sell books on Faithlife.com or on Faithlifebible.com (except for FSB). If you want to buy resources, you need to go to Logos.com. Note that references to works you don't own (such as those frequent ones to AYBD or other locked items) will ddo so automatically
The KJV has no copyrights and the Logos edition is there's to give away, which they've done for twenty years with packages.
.The non-copyrighted KJV text is not morphoologically tagged and integrated to Logos. "Give away" in a package means not free, but paid in the price of the package.

Well, the way the promo videos and the website reads they do sell books. That's what I'm getting at, this is confusing for a veteran and you can rest assured its very confusing for a new person?

I don't know about the "Logos 4 ISO app", but if you own any bible resources in Logos they may be used alongside with FSB. Actually you don't buy the app (well maybe it looks like this in appstores, don't know), you subscribe to FSB - which currently is free until 2014 - and you will be able to use the FSB resources in Logos 4, in biblia.com and the various Logos-produced apps.
Some people like the FSB app since it integrates the resources with the community feaures of faithlife.com, and it may provide a easy-to-use interface for those who are not Logos users. But to use the FSB resources you don't need to buy a special app, just go to faithlifebible.com and subscribe.

Ok, this is different than our both position and different to what I understood from the post I just replied to.
Imagine your a college age Sunday School student and your teacher has just found out about FLB or has been a long time Logos user. When he points you here to FLB, you're going to be confused, quite frankly.
It depends on where he/she would point me.
A teacher wanting to encourage the use of FSB should point people to Faithlifebible.com and provide them with Coupon Code "Free" for the order process.
The site will explain about the FSB (it's a large Study Bible, coupled with additional resources like a bible dictionary, community-enabled etc.pp.). I could scoll along the page to read more and even watch a video. But one cant get lost on this - the site obviously has one purpose: explain the FSB and have users input the code to "Get it free"
Since the site will currently not accept an order without a coupon code (see "you need a coupon" in the box), the most confusing thing will be if someone finds the site but doesn't know where to get the Coupon Code. But the site gives contact opportunities, if one looks around, and calling or mailing Logos would surely help with this. Or one googles for it.
But if my teacher would point me "here", i.e. the Logos Forum, I'd probably use the forum search for "Faithlife study bible" and the first hit will be a thread "Try the Faithlife Study Bible" started by Bob Pritchett with Coupon Code "FSBForums731" right up front (Logos use different codes, probably to see where people learn about the FSB). Or I'd look around (maybe even detect a dedicated forum) and if I don't fid the coupon code I could ask in the forums and certainly would get an answer within the next hour or so - anytime of the day in any timezone of the world.
Going back to faithlifebible.com and using the code will lead me to the next page
It explains clearly that FSB comes with LEB bible but people may add additional bibles if they wish to do so. I think this site design was improved after some people complained over possible confusion.
To complete the order, one may sign in with an existing Logos/Faithlife account or create a new one. Bob explicitly stated New users who come to the FaithlifeBible.com site and use the coupon code "FREE" will not even need to enter a credit card -- always a good sign you won't be automatically charged! :-)
BTW: The order process will - as does Vyrso Checkout - even take out resources one selected for purchase but had already licenced. Of course, this took the FSB out of my shopping cart
Frankly, I don't see much reason to be confused.

Wilson, not to disagree too much with NB.Mick, but for some reason Logos struggles with communications.
In this case, it would be extremely easy programming-wise to simply put 'FREE' in the text block on the FB internet page with a 'until' blurb next to it. They don't.
I'd assume as Bob has said several times, that FB is multiple pieces that eventually will be inter-connected, but in the meantime the pieces get a workout from experienced Logosians.
But I'm like you on the 'understanding'. I know NB.Mick has done more than anyone trying to get folks aclimatized to the ease of use.
Going back to my initial point, they 'could' have made a small downloadable resource and highlighted in the Homepage. Or downloaded periodic instructions for the homepage. Or sent an email. Instead they use the blog (which I don't read much and seems to be marketing language; compare to Morris on Monday), and then the forum (which immediately becomes confusing, often caused by me!).
Just don't know.
I 'passed' on the FSB but I still think this is the BEST thing that ever happened to Bible study for modern groups, It just boggles the mind at the possibilities. Imagine a night to study with your missionaries that you try to help ... good chance for them ... good chance for you. Women like to study together and these days are glued to the social sites. Youth being encouraged to lead. Where can the list stop ... even education, well-known authors, etc.

I think the problem comes from the fact that faithlife.com and the Faithlife Study Bible are two different products, and yet they both start with Faithlife. Therefore, people are getting the two completely different products confused with one and another.

Now, I didn't get those options to choose anything when I put my code in the cart. So, right here is the problem in a nutshell. That was probably because I already owned everything. But, no that's not right. I went into Safari and tried it with a un-logged in session and I still didn't get the various versions.
