I'm thinking about possibly switching from iPad to an Android tablet (Nexus or Galaxy Note).

Is Logos/FSB/Vryso as full-featured on the Android as on iOS?  Is there a feature parity list available somewhere?

Thanks!

Presently, iOS is ahead of the Android, and may be that way for some time. http://www.logos.com/iphone and here is the youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/LogosBibleSoftware

As the other poster says not is the simple answer. However, all of the features you use may be present in the Adroid version. What do you really need and we might be able to help determine if you will miss out on a feature from iOS that's not in Android. The Android app just took a big step forward and I miss few features now.

    Hi Kevin,

All I need is read Bible and acommentary side by side, in sync, and add highlights and notes and have them sync'ed with other devices.

    Thx

    Hi Peter

You can do all of this on Android today - what you can't do at the moment (which you can on iOS) is edit notes.

    Great, thanks Graham!

One more question -- The screen shots I saw in the Android App Store seem to be mostly for Android phones.  Does the Logos app make good use of the larger tablet screens (7" or 10"), or is it just a enlarged display of the same phone app?  In other words, is there a separate tablet edition of the Android app or is everyone using the same phone app?

    Thanks,

    Peter

There were some tablet-specific layouts provided from the 2.0 release (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/52073.aspx) so there is some distinction made.

I don't have an Android tablet so can't comment on the specifics.

There is one edition of the app but depending on the size of device it is installed on (phone, 7" tablet, or 10" tablet) you'll get an experienced optimized for that particular size of device.

    Specifically:

10" tablets have a tablet optimized home page.

10" tablets have a single vs paged verse map selector.

7" & 10" tablets can show the library in a List or Grid view.

Reading margins are different between phone, 7", and 10" tablets but can be configured via the settings page.
