I am unable to get Logos 4 in Windows to open. When I double click the icon, it appears as if will start up then crashes. I have read various threads and attempted right clicking, etc to no avail.

It looks like your system has somehow been downgraded to an older version of Logos; this is not supported.
Please install the latest version of Logos (4.6 SR-1) directly from this download link: http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe

I uninstalled Logos and then reinstalled. It has worked fine the past couple of days. Today, it indicated that it needed to install an update. During the install, I received an error message that states, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "Logos4.msi" in the box below."
Any ideas? Thanks for your assistance.

Bradley,
I appear to have the same problem opening Logos as Robert had. When I click on the link you shared to download the latest version, I get an "Access Denied" message. Do you have a more up-to-date link?
Thanks,
Lucy

Welcome [:D]
For Logos 4.6 SR-2 stable release for Windows, could use:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/4.60.0.3010/Logos4Setup.exe
Keep Smiling [:)]

We need to see some logs, Joshua. See http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
Read carefully (do NOT paste the logs). If necessary, rerun Logos to produce the crash and then upload the logs.

That shouldn't happen. That's not Logos itself that's failing; it looks like part of .NET isn't configured correctly or something. Try going to Windows Control Panel -> Programs. Right click on Logos 4 Prerequisites and select Repair. If not, download the Logos install program and run it again.

I'm not sure this is a problem with .NET or VC redist. This is probably an issue best resolved by calling Logos.
I can only make guesses. If it happened on my machine, I would probably uninstall Microsoft VC redist. I'm not sure which is being used, either 2008 or 2010. Then reinstall those from:
2008 - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582
2010 - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328
If that didn't work, I'd try the same with Microsoft .NET. Uninstall, then reinstall from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718
Again, this is just guesswork on my part. It's what I would try. But you might feel more comfortable and get more directed advice by contacting Logos.

Hi Josh a bot:
I can affirm what Randy is saying here. The issue is with .NET. You will likely get more information about the .NET error in Event Viewer. Here is a link on how to get to it http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows-vista/Open-Event-Viewer. Once there, click Windows on the left, and then Applications. The messages are listed in the right-hand column. You'll likely see some errors in there. If Randy's links don't help you I would seek out a certified Microsoft technician.
