What is this for......? iPhone>Tools>Go--->the pin icon?
There exists on my iPhone under Tools then Go panel a reference i.e. Proverbs 1:6 and a pin next to it.
I dont know how it is there or how to add others.....?

The menu shows recent passages you've visited. You can use the pin to pin them to the top of the list, which otherwise will keep showing newer passages at the top.
I pin the passage the pastor was preaching on Sunday, so that even after jumping around with devotional reading during the week, I can get back to where the sermon series left off on Sunday easily, because it's pinned to the top of the list.

I can enter a passage 2Peter 1:5 read it and it is not added.

I had this happen to me, and I had to delete the app and reinstall it to fix the problem.
